A Day of Celebration

Khelek was in what passed for a festive mood this day. The celebrations that the Fluxians had thrown had broken the ice. While the natives hadn't been terribly enthusiastic about the first round of festivities, they seemed more inclined to join into the celebrations this time. Some people seemed to have thought that they might have missed out before and now they had a second chance to make up for it. It was still a far cry from what most places would consider a holiday spirit, but it was lively for Khelek.
The foreign dignitaries were beginning to arrive. Thelon had spread the word amongst the UN leaders, and on Lucifer's request, had also extended that invitation to Naurorod and Caelium. Of course, the Mind leader was the first to show up, dressed well with his son in tow. He seemed somewhat strained and worn looking but did his best to appear cheery, even if it was forced at the moment.. Libre immediately began looking about in hopes of catching a glimpse of Harmony, whom he had befriended during the group's stay in Sensatia.
Locket was nearby though; she had slipped into the palace in hopes of seeing the foreign leaders. Perhaps, too, she would see Snowflake when the Anarlinan representatives showed up though she doubted it. In a sudden urge, she got up and approached Thelon with an air of serious pomp.
"Hello," he greeted her with a slight bow of his head. Locket curtsied.
"Welcome to Khelek, sir," she responded. "May I introduce myself? I am Lady Kristin O'Niel. Head of stick-removal services and coordinator of Khelekian cheer."
Thelon stifled a small chuckle but Libre giggled.
