Things were getting quickly underway for what would be a joint celebration: Alexi's coming of Elder status and his wedding to Charminei. Families were putting decorations on their houses - painted clothes, talismans hand made, and flowers.
There were a lot of flowers. The floor was practically covered in them. Some over enthusiastic handmaidens of Charminei's took it upon themselves to gather all they could find in two days of hard hunting.
A couple of Fires had been assigned to Alexi, to help him anyway he asked for (within reason of course). They didn't bother to hover over him, the way some of the girls were doing with the bride. They just grouped together in a spot where Alexi could find them if he wanted.
Food was being prepared in abundance as well. The Clan would feast tonight like they hadn't in a while, from all kinds of delicacies: meats, fishes, breads and vegetables, and even a rare bowl of fruit.
The Clan did not have any formal alters or buildlings just for these ocassions. Typically, the center of attention was just surrounded by the clan and whatever was going to happen, would happen. However, some thoughtful folks had gone close to the volcano and dragged back a rather level, large chunk of rock to act as a platform, though it would only hold two people.
Seats of honor were being prepared as well, well woven wicker chairs that were at the designated 'head' of the central firepit. From there, the three elders would sit if they wanted and overlook festivities.
One of the ladies attending Charminei was chased out of her home abruptly, dodging a small fireball. Looking indignant, she went in search of Alexi (or Amelia, if she's back).
