Causing Your Own Trouble|New Morilanta

The monsters bred within Morilanta (a booming profession since the installation of the arena) have become highly agitated, moreso than usual. They will turn aggressively on their handlers, even if they previously did not display such temperments. Outside of the walls, rampagers (see Ekaitz) roam but not as thickly as they do in the Ekaitzian area. Any monsters that manage to break free of their handlers will run through the city to attack anything that gets in its way until death or freedom from the city.

The monsters and other docile animals continue to rampage.

Now humans appear to be affected as well, flying into a sudden madness and attacking everything around them. If subdued, or put into a position where they are unable to harm others, they attempt to destroy themselves in a mad fury. The lower class seem most prone to infection though it can strike anyone. People who handle the monsters and animals are most prone.

On orders of the Emperor, a few monsters, animals, and deranged citizens were captured while the rest were quarantined in the arena. After the local Taedan priests performed an autopsy on those captured, the cause of the insanity was discovered to be a worm infesting the victim's brain through their ear. In response the monsters and animals were put down and the citizens instructed to cover their ears and nose until the threat declined.

Saul's tactics seemed to take a good effect and Morilanta is now (relatively) safe once more.
