Awkward Friendship Is Now Awkward|Flux

[Kender Bard]

Wisdom skulked into the Generous wing, his spirits low. He did, however, pause, to take several deep breaths so that he could at least pretend to be otherwise. I don't know if I can do this today, he thought. His thoughts turned to Adam, so it was with some surprise that he found his friend in the hall of the Generous that day.

"Adam," he remarked, walking up. "I'm surprised to see you. Usually you're with your other pathmates."

Adam grins up at Wisdom and gives him a quick hug. "You say that as though I've abandoned my parent path. I may get..distracted by the Lust but I'm still a Generous."

[Kender Bard]

Wisdom swallowed hard as he hugged Adam back, a little tightly. "Could perhaps I speak with you in private then?" he asked quietly. "There's something I need to find out and I trust you above all else to help me."

Adam took on a mildly concerned look at his tone and nodded. "Of course, come with me." He said before starting to lead to a vacant room.

Once they had the semblance of privacy, Wisdom fiddled with his hands, his fingertips brushing nervously against each other as he considered what to say. "I don't think I'm meant to have a girl-love," he admitted quietly, plaintively.

Then he leaned forward and tried to kiss Adam.

Despite the sudden surprise at Wisdom's statement, Adam still leaned in to return the kiss as a reaction. It wasn't until after the kiss, which wasn't bad at all really, did he blink and respond. "Huh? Are you sure about this Wisdom..?"

"No," Wisdom admitted with a sigh. He'd hoped there'd have been something there. Though he wasn't sure what. It just felt... lacking. "No, but what choice do I have? Everytime I get close to a girl, something bad happens." He teared up a bit as he thought of Jackie. "It's like Soahc wants me to be gay or something."

"Oh Wisdom.." Adam put an arm around the other guy comfortingly. "I'm sure Soahc doesn't want that..well probably not exclusively anyways." Realizing that most likely wasn't the most helpful thing to say, he hurried on. "You can't just give up on what you feel. If you want I will help you find a nice guy you can be comfortable with but you shouldn't give up on women altogether, you're a great guy and I'm sure.." He paused, uncertain if he should bring up the name just yet. "I'm sure those not with us anymore would want you to keep trying."

Wisdom felt his tears threaten to spill over at Adam's words, but he swallowed hard again and managed to keep from crying. He did put his arms around Adam and hug him tightly for a few minutes. "It's not just Jackie," he sniffled. "Imobel wound up hating me. And before her there was a girl I was kind of sweet on. I snuck a kiss and not long after she told me she loved women."

Adam opened his mouth again but realized he really couldn't say anything that might help soothe Wisdom, so instead he just returned the hug, trying to comfort him as best he could while letting Wisdom's emotions run down a little bit.

Wisdom let go once he'd finally gotten the worst of it out of his system. He sniffled and sighed sadly. "Do you really think there's hope for me?" he asked sadly.

"I believe there is yeah." Adam answered supportively. "I know Soahc wouldn't want you to be miserable for the rest of your life. I'm not saying you have to look for someone now..in fact maybe you should wait on that a little longer?" He asked, not sure where he was really going with this.

"I'm tired of being alone," Wisdom protested. "I mean, I know I'm not alone. I have all my pathmates and friends. But I'd like a little special someone, you know? You have Dreamwarp after all."
