[aivea]

Eternity, twirling a dark bladed kalis, enters Clan Pyre's lands. Though the border scouts recognise him, it seems that his visit is an unexpected one and that he was thought to be dead. He snorts when he sees that one of the villagers looks at him as if he was a ghost.

"Where is Lior?" the man calls out, standing in the center of the village. "He must come here!"

"Who is looking for him?" answers a soldier suspiously.

"I am Eternity, once known as Joash, and the rightful Elder of this Clan. My future was stolen from me because of Lior and I am here to reclaim it," the man responds proudly. "Just because I was born ten months before a ceramony doesn't mean I should have none of the rights my blood merits!"

[Devon]

Looking up from his post he watches Eternity for a moment. Nodding his head he then takes off running to get Lior. "Come quick sir, your brother is here and he wishes to see you!"

[aivea]

"My brother?!" Lior repeats, looking rather startled. "I thought Joash left Naurorod after..." The clan leader shakes his head then says, "Where is he? Take me to him."

Meanwhile, Eternity switches hands and continues restlessly twirling his weapon. "You know, it's not fair at all to me that this turned out this way, especially since mother and father are gone now so I can't make my case to them... Oh well. Lior will just have to do earn the right to stay in his stolen spot."

[Devon]

Elijah nods. "Follow me sir." Elijah walks off and leads Lior over to Eternity. Stopping with enough distance between Eternity and himself, the young man turns to look to Lior. "There he is sir."

[aivea]

"Let the duel begin!" shouts Eternity, his voice spiking in the sentance as he lunges forward to slash at his brother. "I've waited to long for revenge to waste words now."

Lior jumps back from surprise, barely having time to even dodge. "What are you talking about? I've done nothing to you so it can't be revenge."

"You've 'done nothing'?! How nice of you to see stealing away my future as nothing!" the older of the two replies and slashes again, though this time the attack is parried.

"I did not steal anything from you! Father named me his heir without me saying a word one way or the other."

"Lies!"

A soldier attempts to intervene and is cut down by one of Eternity's supporters. With no one else attempting to break up the fight just yet, the duel between the two brothers continues and they seem about evenly matched.

[Devon]

"Is this necessary? You are brothers and it seems it isn't either of your faults, the blame is on your father." Elijah comments while stepping forward, but not too close as to where he might get attacked.

[aivea]

Eternity snorts. "I might have known you would have been tricked into agreeing with him. So, how many other lies did you tell these poor people, Lior?"

"I have told them no lies! I know this sounds odd coming from a Fire type but you need to calm down and listen long enough to get the idea of what the reality is," replies the clan leader. He's about to say more but the words are cut off by a yelp of pain as a half-dodged fireball grazes his upper back.

Insence watches Elijah closely, intending to attack if he tried to seperate the two.

[Devon]

Elijah watches the two brothers for a moment with dismay. "This will get you both no where." Elijah touches his right forearm and sends a stream of fire in between Eternity and Lior.

[aivea]

Eternity snarls at Lior but remains on his side of the stream of fire. To the one who interfered, he barks, "You! Tell me what the Hell gave you the idea this will get me nowhere."

After giving Elijah a tiny smile of gratitude that what he considers a pointless battle will have at least a few moments pause, Lior watches his brother with silent wariness.

[Devon]

"Well if the two of you fight. Both of you could lose the clan, then you'd have come back and still got nothing." Elijah replies to Eternity. "Your mother should have taught you this, but maybe you ought to share."

[aivea]

"Aye... We could share the title of Clan Elder," agrees Lior. "I have no objections and your claim is just as legitimate as mine."

Eternity scowls and kicks at the ground; it seems that the willness to let him share the title took most of the wind out of his sails. "I have nothing now and everything to gain. And why should I trust someone who accepted what didn't belong to them to give me a fair share?"

[Devon]

Elijah chimes in before Lior on his behalf. "He is an honorable man, he'll do the right thing."

[aivea]

The one the offer is given to remains silent for a long moment before saying slowly, "...I suppose that'll do." He straightens up proudly and adds in a half-growl, "But this fight will be finished if I find out I'm being treated as anything other than an equal."

"No, Sir Eternity!" Insence calls, rushing forward. "You mustn't accept this insult or anything less than what you came here for."

Eternity's expression softens slightly when he glances at her. "I have to take what I can get, Insence. Would you rather we go back to living days from anywhere, alone and barely beyond starving?"

The woman shakes her head then snarls at Lior, "It's your fault Sir Eternity had to live like nothing more than an animal or a banished clanner for the last ten years."

"For what good it will do and for what I am actually guilty of, I am sorry," the clan leader says with a wince before turning and starting to walk toward the herbalist's. Lior isn't sure how severe the burn is and would rather waste a trip to the healer than let a wound deeper than it felt go untreated.

Incense and Eternity remain where they are, though the female growls at the younger of the two brothers.

[Devon]

Elijah looks between the two brothers. Letting Lior go off to treat his wounds, Elijah turns to Eternity and bows. "I hope you and your brother will lead us well Sir."

[aivea]

Eternity gives a nod of acknowledgement before saying almost absent-mindly, "The more things change..."

"Half is worse than nothing. Atleast with nothing you had your pride, Sir Eternity," Incense murmurs to him.

The Fire scowls slightly before he replies, "Aye, pride... Pride and willingness to eat leather just to have the sensation of there being something in my stomache. Incense, just come with me and find somewhere to stay. See if either of us remembers what it's like to have a roof over our heads."
