Shyn hadn't the faintest idea of what was going on. A giant something had just risen up and done something and now more somethings were happening. It was all too much for the rather sheltered young woman and she promptly sat down on the cobbles when her friend asked her a question.

"I'm supposed to decide where we go?" she asked in a soft voice she hadn't used since childhood, when begging her nurse not to give her anymore medicine.

[Kender Bard]

(Sure!)

"I thought you'd want to, but I don't mind picking."

Karin glances around for a moment, not sure of where to start giving a tour. With a shrug, she picks a random direction then starts walking.

[Kender Bard]

A young lady, dripping wet but not seeming to mind, stumbles in front of Karin and Shyn, panting heavily. Catching herself, she looks at the two of them and gasps, "Under.. Under Ronduin! You've gotta see it!"

"Really? Let's take a look," Karin suggests to Shyn. To the lady she asks, "Is there any way in particular I need to go to see it or just whichever looks fastest?"

[Kender Bard]

The lady starts to catch her breath back and she pushes her bangs aside. "It's at the very bottom of the River under Ronduin; I don't think anyone has been able to hold their breath long enough to get there, but these new gills are just perfect for it. If I didn't know better, I'd say that the gills were merely a prelude to a greater gift!"

(Shyn's got a water sign, but didn't get the blessing... I think because she was born in Khelek)

Shyn blushed "I don't have gills..." she murmured, not bothering to stand.

Karin looks from Shyn to the lady before saying, "I guess I could look later... My friend here doesn't have gills and I don't think she knows her way around here very well..."

Shyn blinked, rather startled. "You'd rather stay and help me?" She asked in wonder, no one had ever wanted to help her before, other than the servants back in the family house...

[Kender Bard]

The lady frowns in thought, then says, "Very well - when you get the time, just go diving straight down from underneath Ronduin. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised." Smiling now, she ran off to go tell other people.

"Well, it is probably going to be there longer than you are going to be here in Ronduin. Does that make sense?" Karin says in reply to Shyn.

Shyn blinked from her seat on the ground. With wide eyes she looked around. She couldn't see anyone in the fancy dress perfered by those who lived in the neighborhood of Khelek she was familier with. She couldn't see anything she was used to really. People stopped to talk to each other, something she'd never really seen before.

Looking back up at Karin she whispered "You mean I'll have to leave?"

"If you want to you can. Shyn, you don't have to leave but I won't force you to stay if you don't want to. You've been acting strange since we got here... What's wrong?"

[kiyukit]

Shyn sighed softly "This place... it's all so strange. First that giant lizard thing... and everyone here is so friendly... not at all like Khelek. Mother was born here, and she used to tell me what it was like. But... I never thought I'd actually be here. Then again, I never thought I'd be able to excape Khelek and I managed that." with a slight shrug the dark haired girl rose to her feet "You're the only person I've ever been friends with. At least, I think we're friends. And this is all so wonderful..."

"I don't mind being friends with you," Kirin replies cheerfully. "Ronduin looks different now, so I might need to relearn my way around. Oh well, plenty of time for that, right?"
