Gathering storms|Talen'sul

Tempest finds the tallest rock that is still easy to climb to the top of as he waits for his men to gather the remaining storms there. Once they are gathered he takes a deep breath and using a touch of his storm power to give his voice a hint of a thundering boom so it will reach all of the storms he begins to speak.

"There has probably already been some rumors of what has happened, and I am here to put them at rest and tell you what needs to be done now. First, it has recently been confirmed that Darkstorm was the one who betrayed Shadow and turned him over to the Clears. And why you may ask? So that he can avoid going into a war that can bring glory and land to our people and instead hide away in Maelstrom while the rest of the world is either swallowed up by the Clears or if the rest of the elementals win and turns on Maelstrom for his betrayel! He has thrown away any right he has to lead our land or our people. I will now take over for the leader of the Storms and lead our people into a glorious victory over those who would either enslave us or let us live because of one single coward."

(Thats all I can think of to put there.)

Amaro listens to Tempest's speech with mounting anger and disgust. He personally has no loyality to Maelstrom or Shadow, but he hates betrayal and cowardness.

[Kender Bard]

As Storm types cheer in support of Tempest, punctuated with sneers and shouts of derision towards Darkstorm and calls for his blood, one of Tempest's personal men walks up and whispers in his ear. "M'lord, there's a man who wishes to see you. He says it's urgent and that you must meet him in the local temple."

Tempest frowns slightly and after a moment he nods and answers in normal voice for him. "I must dismiss my followers in a fitting manner first though." After that he addresses the mass of storms there with the same thundering voice. "Kimball has already taken what storms that follow her to deal with that coward, and I trust her to be able to handle him. However, we must all remain here and continue to aid our temporary allies in this war. If we leave now we will have simply accomplished what Darkstorm wanted in the first place. You are all dismissed to return to your duties here." And with that he steps down from the rock and turns to the man who spoke to him before. "Lead on."

The Storm bowed and hurried off with Tempest to the northernmost slope of Talen'sul. Even from here, one could see the shrine sitting in uttery majesty against the landscape and sunset. Despite the steep climb, the Storm hurries up the slope as fast as his feet would take him, bidden on by whatever had him in such a stir. He did pause now and then for Tempest to catch up though. Once they reached the shrine, the Storm respectfully remained outside, near the door. "He wants to speak to you alone."

Tempest frowns further, already mentally preparing himself for a trap before walking in.

[Kender Bard]

Nobody is in the room, save for a tall, lean man dressed in simple black robes with white markings on them in a few various patterns. The man's cowl is up, so that his face remains in darkness. When he speaks, his voice has a crisp clearness to it, as well as the eerily effect of giving the listener a shiver down their spine. "So, you are the new Leader of Maelstrom?"

Tempest attempts to ignore the feeling of unease he feels about this man. "Yes, who are you and why did you call me here?"

[Kender Bard]

The man ignores his questions, and continues to talk as if uninterrupted, "Shouldn't a Leader have three signs? And besides, you aren't the only one. There is the matter of that other man in Maelstrom who's making himself out to be the primary Leader." Turning, the man looks at Tempest from within the darkness of his cowl. "If you were the only Leader, you would be receiving a gift. A gift that I intended to give."

Tempest starts to feel a little worried now. "What do you know of what Darkstorm is doing?"

[Kender Bard]

"Just that he's a very skilled liar and you would do well to kill him as soon as possible, or at least discredit him somehow," the man said simply.

"..Just who are you?" Tempest attempts to get a better look at the man.

[Kender Bard]

The man moves away from Tempest's line of sight, but he does put his hands on his cowl. "Kill Darkstorm and you will be rewarded." Only then does the man lower his cowl. His features aren't remarkable - other than a type of cold beauty to his pale face - save for one thing; his eyes were nothing but black spheres. There was no white or iris, merely completely black. And somehow, in some core part of Tempest, he realizes he's looking at the face of Taed, Force of Death. "But if you kill him, it must be in my name. Do this, and I will grant you the power that a Leader deserves."

Tempest almost falls to the floor on his face, but manages to only give a deep bow instead. "Y-yes of course! I will do as you wish!"

[Kender Bard]

"Make sure you attest your victory in my name," Taed presses firmly again before putting his cowl back up. "I look forward to the bloodshed." Saying not a word more, Taed walks into the carving with his symbols engraved in it, honoring him, and disappears.
