Here Comes the Cavalry|Skyheort, Talen'sul

[Kender Bard]

A small bird alights on a Wind type's hand. He smiles and strokes its feathers, tilting a head to listen to what it had to say. This particular Wind type was half Beast as well. Suddenly, the scout's eyes widen and he bolts off, the bird flying off to go about its business. The scout goes tearing through Talen'sul, babbling about needing to speak with Leader Damien and something about reinforcements.

Damien, hearing the scout, walks up to him and grabs the scout's shoulder. "Calm down," he orders.

[Kender Bard]

The scout does as told, but nothing short of pure elation is written all over his face. "M'lord, I believe your people are coming to aid us! I sent Trill, a bird acquaintence of mine, ahead to see if there were any spies about and she reported back to me stating that a large force of men clad in the style of Fire types were coming. And m'lord, I think they were running here! They should arrive soon!"

Damien smirks. "They made better time then I expected," he comments. "Vey good. Well, I'd best go greet them hadn't I?" Feeling better about their chances in this war then he has since Shadow's capture, Damien makes his way to Talen'sul's gate to await his people.

It still takes a considerable amount of time, considering the size of the group - nothing short of sixty well armed and well trained men, with a secondary group of younger recruits following up behind them, swelling their numbers to an easy eighty. Charanth, along with a few of the other Clan leaders, leads them and he is the first to greet Damien once they finally reach Talen'sul, footsore and out of breath but otherwise no worse for the wear.

The Clan Leaders all dropped to their knees before Damien, fist over their hearts and head bowed in respect.

"Honored Leader Damien, we have answered your call!"

"So you have," replies Damien. "And I am glad to see you all." He notices the sling on Charanth's arm and frowns slightly. "Thank you, Charanth, for carrying my message to our people so swiftly. It seems the trip was not easy on you."

[Kender Bard]

"A run in with some of the wolves prowling the lands of Maelstrom," Charanth admitted, then flashed a smile at one of the men standing next to him. "Clan Leader Griffon took me in under the best hospitality possible to speed my recovery, then spread the word to the other Clans. As you can see, pretty much all the Clans agreed to come help."

Damien nods. "Indeed. And soon we will teach the Clears a great deal about why they should never have stolen our people and begun this war, although they may not live long enough to take the lesson to heart." Damien chuckles coldly then orders, "Find yourselves a place to camp and rest. I will tell Lya the good news of your arrival and return shortly. Charanth, would you care to accompany me?"

[Kender Bard]

Charanth smiled and nodded, walking to take his place with Damien while the other Fire types moved on out, heading towards what remained of Zephyr.

Charanth whispers to Damien, "I hope the Wind types don't mind us using the remains of that town. The fire-scars obviously don't bother us much but I understand if they ask us to move."

[Northen Light36]

"I'm sure they'll cope with it," Damien replies. "It's only temporary in any case. We'll ask Lya if it bothers her though, just to make sure. And then I'd like to get one of the scattering of Water types around here to take care of your arm. Can't have you slowed down by an injury now can we?" As they talk, Damien leads the way towards Lya's home.

[Kender Bard]

"No rest for the very best," Charanth confirms, walking off with him.
