Well Met, Cousins of the Sea

Thavan let out a soft breath of relief when he entered the heart of Seere's village and saw that it had yet to be ravaged by demons or Belegites.

Without preamble, he set his officers to rounding up people and spreading word of the movement to Humontis. Meanwhile, he sought out the Aluvar clan himself.

[Skittlebug]

The clan is very apparent among the Seerlings, many of them looking quite awkward on land. For the most part they've set up a small distance from the village proper beside the stream that runs through it. The majority of the clan is feeling terribly out of place, but many of the more adaptable clan members have been finding ways to help out their cousins where they can.

Osane, thoroughly unhappy and having had to swallow her pride more times than she'd like to remember in the recent past, is among her clan in their little camp. She has heard the call to go to the Sanctuary, but how can she leave her clan like this?

By the time Thavan gets to the Aluvar camp Osane is waiting for him, having been informed by a young toad affinity that 'someone important looking' was coming.

Thavan's route brought him to the clan and while he didn't know Osane by description that well, he could spot a leader when he saw one. He walked up to Osane, smiling slightly, and offered up a hand. "I'm Packleader Thavan," he introduced himself. "Would you be Osane?"

Osane nods and clasps Thavan's hand. "That I am. It is good to meet you, though I regret the circumstances."

[Kender Bard]

Thavan's smile immediately faded. "I do too," he said, his grip tightening a notch, not out of aggression but comraderie. He let go then. "News can travel fast, so let's see if I can save any time in lengthy explanations. Have you heard about the situation here with Beleg, yet?"

[Skittlebug]

Osane's expression darkens, "I have, they don't deserve to call themselves Beasts."

[Kender Bard]

"I agree," Thavan remarked with a dark look of his own. "But these monsters are infesting our home. Humontis has extended their aid to us. We've already sent our noncombatants from Poldora southward so they can take shelter there while we turn the whole of the Beastlands into our hunting grounds for the demons. Now we're doing the same with Seere. You're welcome to send as many of your own people with them, if you like. And you're also welcome to join us in our quest to retake our homes and cleanse them of this filth."

Osane nods as Thavan is speaking. "I would send our noncombatants, and those who cannot handle the land, as well. But let those of us who wish to fight stand with you. It will be good to face an enemy we can actually do something against. A strike back against the demons."

[Kender Bard]

"Then you're welcome to join," Thavan said with a slight smile, but it faded. He'd seen the ring she wore. Lowering his voice a touch, he asked, "Have you heard the call as well?"

Osane frowns, though understanding dawns when she glances down to his hand. "Yes, but I can't go yet. Much as I'm sure you can't."

[Kender Bard]

"No, but I sent my family on," Thavan said. "And another Chosen from home. But we can't put it off forever. I think once I send the Seerelings on and get my men set up, I'll have to go." He seemed supremely unhappy about that. "Hopefully it won't be a waste of time."

"I agree." Osane rumbles, "I'll likely go when you do in that case, and no sooner."
