Does The City Live Up to The Stories

Drystan had decided that the next place he would explore would be Sensatia. He's heard a lot about the city and is terribly curious if the place is as relaxing as it sounds. He could use that, relaxing, his life has been a bit of a ride lately.

He'd reached the city late the night before and had been astounded by the sheer size of the wall. It gave off a sense of security, sure, but also a bit of paranoia he thought. He's found himself a room for the night and gotten an early start, wandering into the business district and wondering just what he should try first.

Misery strolled around, completely invisible. He found that being visible invited snoopy Minds to try and touch his mind. That was an irritant he could do without so he'd decided to settle for slightly less satisfying preying by remaining invisible and wandering around broadly, causing small mishaps wherever he went. But it just wasn't really filling.

And then he saw what he'd been hoping to find; someone who was quite obviously an outsider. He grinned and began to walk behind Drystan; he'd observe and remain invisible for the moment. If he proved to be ripe for feasting on, he'd make himself known.

One thing that can be said for losing his muzzle, he can much more discreetly turn his head this way and that to admire any well proportioned ladies he might notice. It was also something to be said for larger cities, so many more people to see. He stops and considers a massage parlour, that could be nice.

[Kender Bard]

As he regarded the parlour, the owner stepped outside to hang a sign on the door--closed early.

Misery yawned and glanced around, shifting around Drystan and focusing on a passerby coming their way; the individual turned to watch a passing horse as he walked and blundered right into Drystan. "Oh! Sorry!"

Misery gave a small chuckle but this was still pretty paltry.

Drystan pouts a little as the store closes, and turns only to be bumped into. He grunts and flares out his wings to keep his balance. "Oh! That's all right..." Drystan shakes his head and keeps going, looking for the next likely shop. He notices a pretty lady walking by and grins in her direction.

[Kender Bard]

Ah-ha. Misery smiled and backed off--timing was important some of the times, and he wanted to let this one build before he ruined it.

The woman paused and smiled back at Drystan, looking him over discreetly but thoughtfully. She smiled coyly as she glanced up at him through long lashes.

Drystan's grin grows at that. This is another thing is isn't entirely used to with his new appearance, though it's certainly welcome. He steps over to her and offers a bow with a flourish of a wing. "Why hello, perhaps you could help a tourist out? I could use some advice on the best places to see, and perhaps some lovely company?" He raises a brow with a hopeful grin.

[Kender Bard]

The woman tittered at that, grinning. "Oh, I don't know," she said, though her body language screamed why yes, of course. "What were you most interested in?"

[Skittlebug]

"Well, aside from the sights," his eyes flick down and back up, "I was looking for something relaxing, then maybe some fun."

[Kender Bard]

The woman stepped closer to Drystan, smiling broadly. "Oh well, I-"

Misery stepped close to the pair in his invisibility, grinning broadly and licking his lips.

"CALLA!" a man bellowed. He was a big man too; tall and muscled and looking pissed off as he strode towards Drystan and the woman.

"Oh shit," the woman hissed, stepping back from Drystan rapidly.

"You WHORE!" the man snarled, but he was glaring at Drystan with rage in his eyes. "And YOU!"

Oh shit, Drystan mirrors the woman's sentiments and backs up himself, arms up defensively. "Me what! I was just asking directions!"

[Kender Bard]

The man sneered and stomped up towards Drystan, drawing a fist back to punch him. Fortunately, his body posture screamed what he was going to be doing well in advance of the action.

"Woah!" Drystan dances back and to the side, wings flaring for balance. "Stop! Guards, someone! Help!" If he could just get into the air he'd be good, but he can't very well take off from standing.

[Kender Bard]

People glance over and it seems a couple of people are starting to converge. If they're guards, unless they teleport, it will take them a moment to reach the group, however.

Misery spreads his arms, soaking in the frustrations around him, feasting. He encompasses all of them now. The woman grabs the man's arm and he pushes her down before trying to grab hold of Drystan.

Drystan scowls when the man shoves her, but he can't worry about her for long with the guy right on top of him. He underestimates the man's speed however, and before he can dodge out of the way finds himself caught by the arm. Suddenly feeling panicked he pulls back, trying to wrest his way free.
