[Kender Bard]

The Minds didn't linger long; they deposited the group in the primary temple and left again, off on their own errands. Kiri beamed; the temple was beautiful. Mostly worked stone but she could see marble was used in some places as well and there were sculptures too. Everywhere she listened, she could hear the faint sound of water coming from somewhere and the temple was fairly open and breezy where they were at currently.

Neil eyes the area warily, deciding that he certainly doesn't like having other people teleport for him. It just felt wrong. He certainly doesn't see the beauty that Kiri does either, the headache must be going away because his head feel a little clearer, but he's feeling very wary.

"Now what?" Kiri asked Callum.

Callum blinked and shook himself out of his stupor. He was staring at the place. "Well you go look for healers. My part is done."

"You're leaving?" Kiri asked, surprised.

"Tomorrow," Callum confirmed. "I'll hep you find healers though." And with that, he stalked off.

Kiri gave her head a small shake. "Let's find somewhere for you to rest, Neil. I hear they have free rooms for people who make pilgrimages here. Let's go find a priest."

A Priest. Neil didn't like that word. Regardless of what Kiri says he still has a hard time trusting where they are, not to mention the Priests here. He get increasingly tense as they search for one of them.

Kiri finally locates one; a robed priest who was fussing at one of the hedgerows that encircled the open-air section of the temple here. "Sir?"

The priest glanced over with a small smile. "Yes? How might I help you?"

"My companions and I have had a hard past few days and we're recently arrived in Acoia," she explained. "And my friend here-" she indicated Neil "-is wounded and only aggravating his wounds. Is there somewhere we could rest in the temple?"

"Oh of course," the priest assured them, giving Neil a concerned look. "Are you able to walk? The rooms aren't too far from here, actually. It's not much, mind you; a cot and at least the illusion of privacy. We get so many visitors that we have be conservative with our space. If you'd like somewhere truly private and more comfortable, there's a number of inns in the area."

Neil glares at the man, or is he just dazed? It's hard to tell. "I can walk," he insists, defensively. "She thinks I should be here."

Altair spoke up at last. "You should be here. You need a healer."

He instantly regretted speaking up. He didn't want an arguement with Neil again. This place was too peaceful and beautiful for arguing in and he was feeling more relaxed then he'd felt since the day before this whole mess with Kiri's lookalike had begun.

"He's right," Kiri put in delicately.

"Some of the very best healers are here," the priest assured Neil. "We've seen people bring the very hopeless and have them leave cured." Not ALWAYS but he liked to give hope to the ailing. He led the way and, true to his word, it wasn't a far trip. "I'll send word to the healers. In the meanwhile, I'll ask Gabe come to look at you. He's a young healer, and in some ways still learning, but he's very handy and he can at least look you over so the more experienced healers will have something to go off of."

Are you serious, they were finally in the place where he could get some real help and they were sending out the pupils! Neil settles down on the cot with a groan, partially for his leg and partially for his situation. He feels particularly bothered by some of the hallucinations right now on top of everything else. One of the bastards jeers at him and he snarls back.

"A student?" Altair glanced at Niel, then back at the priest with a skeptial look. "Well, if you're sure, sir. But Niel's been very sick." He glanced at Kiri. "Want me to try tracking down the healer who helped us get here? He'll need to tell the healers here what's been tried to treat Niel so far at least."

"That's a good idea," Kiri agreed as she settled herself by Neil's side, brushing his hair back to try and soothe and calm him.

Once Altair had gone, the apprentice healer showed up before his return. Gabe was a handsome young man with short, curly black hair and blue eyes with a ready smile on his face. "Hello!" he greeted the pair.

Kiri wished she could discreetly ask the boy to tone down the good humor. It would probably just irritate Neil. Fortunately, Gabe seemed to sober up when he regarded Neil's prone form. "Well, let's see here. If you don't mind, I'm going to take stock of your injuries. I was told you've been traveling? That can be hard on a body. This shouldn't take too long."

Neil stares Gabe down, it's easier than snapping at hallucination. He grins a little, but it's cold, perhaps he should show the boy what he's seeing, that could be good. "Get it over with, and tell me something I don't know."

Gabe raised a brow and set about his work, checking all the wounds. "Do you need anything for the pain?" Gabe asked once he'd poked around the broken bone.

"Do you have anything for hallucinations not caused by fever?" Kiri asked.

"Er, not me," Gabe responded weakly. "Sorry. But I'm going to be reporting what I learn to my mentor and she'll take things from there. She's one of the best healers here in Acoia so you're in very good hands."

Maybe...no, he wanted to stay alert, not for them to drug him. "No, I'm fine."

"If you're sure," Gabe replied reluctantly. "I want to make you comfortable. And at any rate you definitely shouldn't be moving too much. I think you aggravated the broken bone."

Kiri winced.
