Kiri smiled and nestled closer with Neil. She was still feeling a bit of hazy bliss but she was no longer worn out and was beginning to grow restless a bit. She kissed him softly. "I'm really glad things happened as they did," she said, still keeping her voice a little hushed. She brushed back a little bit of his hair.

Altair stood back into the inn and headed for Kiri's room. "Kiri?" he called, knocking on her door. "Are you there?"

Neil is about to say something when Altair knocks at the door. He jerks upright, and looks to Kiri, not sure what she'll want him to do.

[Kender Bard]

Kiri jerked as well, startled. Damn! "Just a minute!" she calls out. "I'm changing!" She scrambles out of the bed, almost falls onto the floor. Grabbing up Neil's clothes, she tossed them at him and hissed, "Teleport to your room!" She grabbed her own clothes next.

[Skittlebug]

Neil shrugs and teleports from under the blanket onto the bed in his room. He starts getting dressed as well.

Kiri hastily dressed. Her clothes were rumpled, her hair was mussed, and the bed was unmade mess. She went to the door and opened it, not noticing that she'd neglected to give Neil his boots back and she'd left her new scarf off, draped on them. "Altair," she greeted as nonchalantly as she could manage.

Now dressed, sans boots, Neil sits on his bed listening in. How could he not?

Altair leaned against the door frame, but luckily for Kiri, he didn't spot the boots. "Sorry for storming off like that, Ki," he appologised. "I just... needed some time to think."

[Kender Bard]

Kiri blinked, then hugged him gently. "It's all right, Altair," she replied lightly. "I know this has been hard on you. But... On the bright side, I think things are going to go a little more smoothly. I had a talk with Neil, and we seem to have come to an... Understanding. Sort of."

[Skittlebug]

Neil smirks to himself at that, yes, it certainly was an 'understanding'.

[Kender Bard]

Kiri's smile turned a touch nervous. "Speaking of," she said lightly, closing the door behind herself as she moved out into the hallway, guiding Altair with. "I really should check on Neil. Make sure he hasn't, uh, gotten into any mischief since we last saw each other. Make yourself comfortable, brother, and we'll talk shortly to decide what to do next. And don't worry about the price of the room; we're paid up for another night!"

She turned and moved hastily down the hall towards Neil's room, not wanting Altair to get a chance to ask her much. She needed a moment to think up something to tell him in case he got suspicious.

Neil gets up and heads to the door, he could explain already being there by saying he'd heard them in the hall, and realises he's missing something. Uh Kiri? We forgot my boots...

[Kender Bard]

Kiri paused midstep. Uh oh. She thought madly. Well I can't go back and get them now...

Heading around would look suspicious. She stepped quickly into Neil's room instead and shut the door. "Sorry but I can't well go back and grab them without Altair seeing," Kiri told him. "We'll get them later and hope he doesn't notice."

Neil gathers her up into a hug, a little excited at the prospect of Altair finding them actually. "I guess I'm stuck in here unless he does, or leaves again." He sighs with a mock frown.

[Kender Bard]

Kiri smiled and leaned in for a kiss. It was going to be... Difficult to hide their relationship from Altair. In fact, why should they hide it? But she didn't want to fight with her brother, not when she was so happy. The revelation could wait at least a little while.

"Well then I will keep you company until he does," she giggled. She slipped out of his arms and went over to one of the windows, opening it up to let the fresh air in. Breathing in deeply, she glanced outside in idle interest but something caught her eye. A vendor with a little push cart was selling small, hot pies and at a steal. They were probably a little stale, to be sold so cheap, but her mouth still watered.

"Actually, I take that back," she said. "If you don't mind, I'll slip outside and buy a treat." She gestured to the vendor. "I'll be back in a moment. Do you want any?"
