[Darastrix]

After a few weeks of marital bliss--in other words, life as usual--Schuldig had come to a decision. He was going to take Zira's advice. He had to. He still wasn't big on romance and probably never would be, but even so....

His belated wedding to Filly had been just for her. It was something she'd wanted, something he'd thought she'd like, and after their fighting about her obsession for a child, it was something he could give her. He hadn't really expected to enjoy it much himself, but he had. It had been a good day. Really good. And Schuldig had realised that he wanted more good days like that. But with the way things were, the way he was, those could be hard to come by, and usually for no other reason than himself.

Schuldig let out a sigh and let himself drop down onto the bed. ~Filly?~ he sent. ~Can I talk to you in our room?~

[Kender Bard]

~Of course~ Filly answered. She'd been hunting for a book she'd left lying somewhere. Giving up on finding the wayward text, she teleported to their room and settled down on the bed next to him. "What is it, dear?"

[Darastrix]

"I got some advice, a while back," Schuldig began as he traced the pattern on the bedclothes with one finger. "When we had that blowup over Nathaniel. After I'd vented to Zira, he said that he thought I might need a Mind healer. When I invited him here while you were in Sensatia and I told him what was going on, I asked him if he still thought that, and he said he did. And the thing is...."

He looked at her then, his expression a mixture of seriousness and uncertainty. He wasn't entirely sure what Filly was going to think. "I think he's right."

[Kender Bard]

Filly looked a little uncertain as well. She leaned over to pull him into her arms. "Well, maybe he is," she murmured. "And it can't hurt. I've felt much calmer since I spent time with Mikasi. But... Schuldig... You do realize that this will likely take a lot of time, right?"

[Darastrix]

"Weeks," Schuldig agreed, allowing Filly to draw him to her. "Maybe months. But I'm not looking for a miracle." He snorted softly. "I've probably used up my quota of those anyway."

[Kender Bard]

Filly smiled briefly before asking, "Are you planning on staying there? Or were you going to ask Mikasi to come here?" She stroked his hair gently.

[Darastrix]

"Since he's going to be stuck dealing with me in a big way, I thought I'd leave it up to his preference," Schuldig said. "Anyway, between Nagi and Harmony, it's not any trouble for me to go back and forth, and if I have to, I can pay someone in Sensatia for transportation."

[Kender Bard]

"Then I see no reason at all not to go through with this," Filly told him. "And you have my complete support on the matter."

[Darastrix]

"Good," Schuldig sighed. "Some Minds might be able to go into their own heads and straighten things out, but I'd have no fucking clue where to start in mine. I...guess I should let Mikasi know, then. Work out scheduling and shit." In his own opinion, there was no way either of them could stand for Mikasi to work on him daily. Mikasi would burn out and he'd be a walking knot of stress.

[Kender Bard]

Filly toyed with his hair idly, beginning to do loose braids as she thought about the situation. "Is there anything I can do to help? Not with the counseling of course, that's best left to Mikasi. But for when you're not being worked on?"

[Darastrix]

Schuldig frowned a little as he thought it over. "I'm not really sure. I don't know how this is going to go or how I'm going to feel after sessions, so I guess we'll just play it by ear. ...what did you want when he wasn't working on you?"

[Kender Bard]

Filly seemed a little startled by the question. She hadn't really thought about it. Giving some, now, though, she held him a little tighter. "To be with you and Harmony, mostly."

[Darastrix]

Schuldig winced inwardly. "Sorry I wasn't around more," he muttered. "I wasn't really at my best then, either." Which was just one more reason for him to go through with seeing Mikasi.

[Kender Bard]

"We still saw each other enough to be a comfort," Filly replied lightly. "And Harmony was often in Sensatia. I'll be sure to be with you too, if that's what you want."

[Darastrix]

"We'll see," Schuldig said. "I might want people. Or I might end up wanting to be alone. Or get in a fight. Or drink myself under the table. No telling. Now, before I come up with more excuses to put it off...."

He brushed his sign and reached out to Sensatia. ~Mikasi? Busy?~
