Talk About Getting into the Game...

[Darastrix]

As each player clicks to their favourite roleplay to update and check posts (scroll up if you need a reminder ), something strange happens. Each person's monitor glows brightly and before they realise what's happening, they find themselves transported to a random city in Naruta, with just the clothes on their backs, and whatever they may have been holding at the time. Let the wacky hijinks ensue!

Dara blinks in confusion as she appears in Maelstrom. She eyes her can of Vault suspiciously and takes a sip. "I can taste that. And feel the fizzy. I'm awake. What. The. F***?!"

Stepping out into the street, she pulls her sunglasses off of her head and puts them on. "I have either gone totally insane, or something really weird just happened. Where the hell is this?"

Northen staggered into her study to check on Naruta, still in her nightclothes and slipper socks. Clicking on Maelstrom, she doesn't even have a chance to swear as the light washes over her.

"What the hell?" Northen snarls as she blinks to clear her vision. "Kyle I'm going to... Oh..." Northen trails off as she looks around. The sensation might be the same, but this is definately not one of Kevanick's fanfics she's been pulled into. In fact, it looks disturbingly like... "Maelstrom," Northen breathes. "Oh Soahc, Etaf and Taed..." Looking down at herself, Northen takes stock of what she has with her. "MP3 player with 50% battery remaining, A Game of Thrones and my pjs with the hole in the knee..." she sighs. "I hate Mondays..."

Dara blinks as Northen appears, taking in her modern-day nightclothes. "Hey!" She runs over to the other girl as well as she can in a pair of thin socks. "Do YOU have any idea what's up? Or better yet, where we are?"

"In reverse order, Maelstrom appearently and not a clue," North replies, looking Dara over. Quickly she yanks off her slipper socks and tosses them to Dara. "Here. They at least have a bit of a sole and I'm used to bare feet. So... Which of the group are you? Not sis, I know that."

[Darastrix]

"Thanks," she says, pulling on the slipper socks. "I'm Dara, and judging from the accent and mention of 'sis,' you've gotta be North." Dara looks around the city in slight dismay. "It just had to be a city that I don't have any people in. Oh well, at least it's not Ekaitz."

She looks back at North. "What d'you think we should do? Pay Shadow a visit?"

North sighs. "I'd say it's good to meet you in person, Dara," she mutters. "But this was never what I had in mind when I said the players had to get together." She sighes again and considers the suggestion. "I don't know Dara... I don't particually want to give him and Lya heart failure... And what do we say? Hi! Don't mind our clothes. We're from another universe and spend our time manipulating your lives..." She glances down at her palms and rolls her eyes.

"Well at least which ever Force, and i'm guessing Soahc, got bored also decided to give us a chance of surviving," she mutters, holding out her hands to show the Storm sign on her right palm and the Water on her left. "What sign are you?"

"At least we saved on airfare? Man, I wonder if everyone else is gonna get pulled in and where they'll all end up," Dara says, looking down at herself to see if she can find a sign. "I better not have to strip down to find the damn things...ah, there's one." She holds up her right arm to show the Mind sign on the underside of her wrist.

"Well, with all the stuff that's happened here so far, the 'we're from another world' thing might not go over THAT badly. And it probably is Soahc's fault. Oh, cool." Dara holds up the first two fingers of her left hand in a "v," displaying the feather symbol curving between them. "Wind/Mind."

"Nice," North grins, then goes back to looking around thoughtfully. "I don't think we should talk to any characters, not just yet. I'm a bit worried about what'll happen if we break the fourth wall. This isn't the chat after all." She sighes. "For now, I think we're going to have to play Soahc's game, Dara. I doubt we're his only victims, so let's see if we can find a way to blend in and see if we can find the others."

Northen checks her pocket and sighs. "Naturally Soahc wouldn't make this easy," she mutters. "I don't suppose you have any copper on you?"

[Kender Bard]

Kender slips into her comfy chair. She doesn't even have to click anything. Once she boots the computer up, Naruta flashes onto screen. With a yawn, she goes to click but experiences quite the dizzy spell as she's sucked into the monitor...

...And lands in someone's bedroom.

She looks around. "Uhhh?" The stone walls puzzle her. She hasn't seen stone walls in.. well, ever. And the bed is a lot scratchier than she's used to. She looks at the wool cover. Ugh, wool.

A little boy-child, wondering what the sound he heard was, looks into the bedroom. Kender tilts her head; the big blue eyes, perpetual smile, and soft corn-yellow hair make her think of Spice. ...Waitaminute!

"Wow!" Spice breathed. Kender wondered what he thought was so fascinating. She looked down - denim jeans, a bright purple shirt with flowery designs on it, a wristwatch, and her USB drive necklace make up her day's ensemble. Ah, well, that might be it.

"Uhh, are you... Spice?" Kender hazarded, feeling like a moron. The boy nodded, grinning. "Oh man, oh man."

"What're you?" he asked, breathy with excitement at his find.

I wonder what I should say, she thought. Well, he was just a kid. Nobody would believe him... She spread her arms in a grandiose manner. "I am Etaf!"

Spice gave a little squeal and ran off out of sight.

"Oops," Kender mumbled.

(LOL sis. Scare the kid senseless why don't you? )

In the next room, Acqua chuckles as she listens to her nephew telling her Etaf is in the boy's bedroom. "Right Spice," she says with a grin, easily able to be heard by Kender. "Well did you make a wish? If you find a Force you're allowed to make a wish, you know."

Oh hell, it's Acqua, Kender thought dejectedly. She's going to stick me like a pig. Getting off the bed, she looked all around, wondering where she could hide. Swallowing hard she tried to sneak out of the room quietly. Years of training that involved sneaking around upstairs at ungodly hours paid off. There weren't even squeaky floorboards here.

Too bad Alethia saw her.

"Umm," Kender mumbled as Alethia dropped the basket of laundry she was carrying and backed up. "Umm, I won't hurt you." She didn't think the Etaf bit would work on her.

Alethia paused, contemplating this strangely dressed woman. "You look harmless but looks are deceiving."

Spice dashed out of Acqua's room to go make his wish. He ran up to Kender and tugged on her hand. "I wanna make a wish!"

"Spice!" Alethia said sharply. Spice was undeterred. Kender looked down at the kid and thanked small blessings.

"How about we talk about it later, okay?" she cooed in her nicest voice. That seemed to take a little of the wariness out of Alethia. Not much, but some.

Hearing Alethia's wary tone and a strange voice, Acqua comes out to investigate. While her dagger isn't drawn, yet, her hand is resting on the hilt. Seeing Kender and her outfit though, the thief is visiably taken aback by the woman's appearence.

"We've finally found someone who has stranger clothing then Talon," she mutters, then refocus. "Who are you and what are you doing in our home?" Acqua asks sharply. "Spice, go to Alethia."

[Kender Bard]

"But-"

"You'd better go," Kender urged him. Pouting, Spice toddled over to Alethia who drew him back behind herself.

Kender began to twine her USB necklace between her fingers. Nervous habit. "You wouldn't believe who I was even if I told you the complete and honest truth."

"Try me," Alethia grumbled. "I've seen some weird things."

Kender snorted. Yeah, I know. "Well... I'm not from this world," she began.

"You're right," Acqua snorted. "I don't believe you. If you're going to lie, at least put some effort into the attempt. I came up with better stories when I was four." She shook her head. "Want to try again?"

[Kender Bard]

"I'm not lying," Kender said sulkily. "And yes, I'm right, so now are we going to stand here and stare at one another until we get tired?"

Alethia ran her fingers through her hair and gave a stressed out sigh. "Please, tell us the truth."

Fine, I'll lie then. "Okay, I'm from Contrasta then," she stated.
