Looking for insight|Mystic Temple, Naurorod

Flame smiled happily when she and Libre arrived at the temple. "I can sympathise with the girl in my vision," she remarked to Libre. "I've missed being properly warm."

She frowned thoughtfully. "I wonder if that girl's from one of the clans? She was thinking kinda along the same lines as I do for a bit everytime I'm out of of Naurorod. Not Fira of course. Mum would probably be at least worried if we were missing anyone." She smiled. "Well, we can see if the mystics can answer that for us. I think a yes or no question works best in mystism.

She looked around the temple, trying to decide who to ask.

Libre looked around as well, excited about finally seeing the mystics for himself. There were so many! Some were dressed in robes dedicated to one or two Forces, a couple tried to incorporate all of them. Others dressed as normal as any Naurite and still others kept themselves in as plain of garb as they could manage.

"There's so many," he murmured. It was like a regular temple, almost.

One of the mystics, on an idle walk, noticed the pair and walked towards them. He had the dark skin of a Naurite but his hair was a golden brown, long and wavy and held back into a ponytail with some twine.

Mixed heritage, Libre decided.

"Welcome to the Temple of the Mystics," he greeted with a bow.

Flame smiled, but bowed back as any fire child would do and nudged Libre to do the same. "Hello," she greeted. "I'm Flame and this is my brother, Libre. Would you be willing to spare some of your time to help me try and learn more about a vision I had?"

"I would be happy to," the man agreed. "My name is Tarineth."

Like before, Libre shared the vision with the mystic as well as adding with the Etafian had said. "But suppose you could help us get more information...?"

"I can try," he agreed. "Come with me." He walked off towards another part of the temple that had many rooms of varying sizes. He selected a medium size room. "I generally consult all of the Forces as a whole if I don't think it came from any specific Force. Are you yourself an Etafian child?"

Flame hesitated. "I haven't really settled on which Force to follow. I like Etaf, Soahc and Efil all equally," she admitted, then added, "Well, maybe Etaf a little more then the others, but not enough to say I'm an Etafian."

She thought it was likely she would follow Etaf later on, given she knew Secret's feelings on the matter, but at the moment she still wasn't sure.

"Then I will be more open in my divination," Tarineth replied. "You may watch but please do not interrupt me until I am completely done with my ritual."

From the small pouch at his hip he drew forth a handful of dried flower petals from all varieties and began to scatter them in a circle. Then he sat down in the middle, drew forth a small heart-shaped pendant, held it up, and rocked it back and forth as he stared intently at it, his gaze growing unfocused...

After a few moments of this he shook his head slightly and came out of his daze, putting the pendant away and gathering up the dried flowers carefully to return to his pouch. "The child you see is from Naurorod. I'm afraid that's the best I can offer you."

Flame nodded thoughtfully. "Well, it narrows things down a little and gives me a starting point. Thank you for your help, sir."

Narrows things down? Libre thought. You went from someone in an entire nation to someone in an entire other nation.

Well maybe she knew something he didn't. Overall, he wasn't terribly impressed by what he saw. "Thank you," he murmured to the mystic. "Ready to go back to Fira, Flame?"

"Yes please," Flame murmured distractedly, already lost in thought. If there's someone from the clans missing, word will spread fast enough. That girl couldn't have been gone long or she wouldn't still be feeling cold. "Actually wait a moment?"

She touched her sign and focused, chanting to boost her strength and 'feeling' for a mind outside of the areas Fira was currently in. It was draining, but she found what she was looking for. She just had to keep it short. ~Elder Charminei? It's Flame. Are any Char children missing or away from the clan?~

A bit abrupt, but between projecting her vision, sensing out Charminei and sending the message, she was getting tired.

Charminei sounded extremely startled in her mind-voice as she answered. ~Goodness, Flame. I nearly forgot you were a Mind too; you startled me. I'll have a look around but there hasn't been any desperate or screaming mothers so I seriously doubt so.~

"You look a bit drained," Libre commented, slipping an arm around his sister in a little hug. "Try to take it easy okay?"

Flame nodded and sent one message to Charminei, her own mental voice tired. ~Sorry to startle you. If you discover any little girls - younger then me - are missing, please tell me.~

That done, she slumped slightly against Libre, closing her eyes to try and hold off the headache she could feel forming. "I'm ready to go home now," she said quietly. "And can you ask aunt Artica or Aideen for some peppermint tea?" Since she shared her mother's allergy to all things lavender, peppermint was the best thing Flame could take for a headache.

"Uh huh," he agreed, already putting in the request with Aideen as he teleported her back home, to her room, so she could curl up in her bed until Aideen had gotten the tea ready.
