Harmony noted the arrival the Queen but didn't feel a great urge to speak with her. She was interested in the young noble girl she'd met. "Hello!" she greeted.
Her mother glanced at Harmony with some interest. The girl smiled back. "Hello," she returned. "Who are you? I've never seen you before."
"I'm from Khelek," Harmony replied. "I'm with the royal family. My parents are with them and they brought me along."
"What a lucky little girl you are," the noble woman replied. "Introduce yourself, my sweet."
Her daughter bobbed into a curtsey and replied, "My name is Renata Brandt-Stryke."
Harmony mimicked the curtsey. "I'm Har-" she risked a glance over her shoulder and noticed her parents were busy. "Harmony... Veilborn." She resisted the urge to smirk.
Thelon sent a surge of warm affection back at Tres as he let go of Libre and let his son lead the family along to where the other nobles were.
It didn't take long for Libre to spot a friend. "Harmony!" he called out, raising his voice. Harmony glanced back and her face lit up in glee. She uttered a hasty farewell and excused herself, running over to Libre. The two embraced briefly, giggling, and began trying to overtalk one another about all the things that had happened to them recently, as well as how much they'd missed seeing one another.
Luminous gave a small frown. She felt like this was a question with an actual correct answer more than an opinion. "The... Queen," she answered after a moment of thought. "Cause she's the hostess. It's polite."
Lya looked at her daughter with approval.
Cascata swept into the room with grace. She saw Lya first, being closer to the door, and crooned, "Lya! Shadow! My dear far-flung friends!"
"Cascata!" Lya remarked with delight. The women hugged briefly before Cascata tried to pull Shadow into an embrace as well.
"Hello handsome!" she gushed cheerfully.
"Aye," Musette agreed, but once they'd reached where it seemed everyone else was headed or gone to, she grew very shy. This was her first formal event outside of Reave, and her first real event as Trevor's wife. She clung to his arm and grew quiet and reserved.
Emerald made a purr of sound at the queen. Locket blushed at their playful display.
"Very well," Emerald pouted and slipped out of Dusk's arm to pull Marion into her own, kissing him firmly.
Locket glanced around; she should monopolize Dusk's time even though she certainly would rather linger with her than with nobles she didn't know. However, her inspection of the room let her spot Cascata and the Brightmores. Perking up, she led Nagi over to them. "Hello!" she greeted.
Filly brushed a wing against him. "I wouldn't be opposed to that at all," she agreed, but not with nearly as much enthusiasm as she would have once before. Instead she walked over towards Zira. "Lord Wintersong!" she called out to get his attention.
Meanwhile, Shyamal had reached the Queen and reached out to stroke at knee-height her dress. "Pretty," he re-iterated as he pet his monarch.
Twilight rubbed his chin. "Snow could finish with the preparations at any time, but on the other hand she may be a while longer yet," he mused. "And it would be rude not to greet the visitors. But on the other hand, tradition mandates I avoid Dusk before the wedding."
"And you're such a man of tradition," Erik teased.
Twilight slapped a knee. "To the socialites!" He sprang up and pointed a finger towards the exit, and marched as if going to war.
