Double Trouble (Bardic Guild)|Skyheort, Talen'sul

[Devon]

Romi and Rem made their way to the bardic guild this day in very good humor. Laughing and joking as they went, they both came with the same goal in mind. Find Uriel and see what fun was to be had at the Bardic College. "This place is big Rem," Romi said. Rem nodded agreeing with his brother. "I don't know how we're going to find him in all of this." Romi stopped and crossed his arms in front of his chest as he looked to his twin. "Well we can always bother the first person we see and maybe they can lead us to Uriel and besides, we'll get to look around a lot more searching for him."

Rem smiled and agreed quickly, "Right! Then I'll go find someone right away." Running off, Rem headed to the first person he could find. "Excuse me!"

[Darastrix]

Cass turned and looked down at Rem, drawing her brown wings in as she moved to keep from bumping anyone with them. "Well, there's a new face," she said, flashing him a bright smile. "What can I help you with today? Seeking entertainment or instruction?"

[Devon]

Rem paused in thought about her question. He was always looking for something fun to do, but he and his brother always dreamed of going to the college. Still he remembered what they were there for today and so he stuck to that. "Hello ma'am," he said with a smile and a bow. "I'm looking for a friend. His name is Uriel, he promised he'd show my brother and me around." Rem pointed towards Romi who looked over and waved brightly to Cass.

Cass smiled and waved to Romi before turning her attention back to Rem. "Uriel?" She tapped her cheek with a finger. "Hm. I don't think I've seen him around today, but if he's been about, Eril would know. You boys come with me."

With that, Cass turned and headed out of the guild's common room to lead them down a long hallway and past several closed doors from behind which could be heard the muted strains of music. She stopped at a room near a stairwell and knocked once before pushing the door open. "Eril, have you--oh! There you are, Uriel."

[Devon]

Romi and Rem peeked out into the room from under Cass' arm. Looking at the prankster bard they both waved. "Hello Uriel!" the twins sang out to him. Rem looked to Cass and bowed in thanks. "Thank you milady," he said. Romi copied his twin brother's gesture.

[Darastrix]

Uriel blinked at the twins, startled, and gave them a somewhat weak smile in return as Cass bade them goodbye and hurried off to find her dancers. "Hello.... Um, Eril, this is Romi and Rem. I ran into them one day in the market."

"I see." Eril nodded at them. The Ice was neatly dressed and seemed perfectly put together, though his face was pale and there were dark circles under his eyes. "It's nice to meet you." He spoke in a quiet murmur, though that might have been due to tiredness rather than habit.

[Devon]

Romi and Rem bowed to Eril and returned his greeting with pleasant smiles. "Nice to meet you too sir," Romi said. Rem made his way over to Uriel. "Hello Uriel, what are you doing in the college today?"

[Darastrix]

"Visiting," Uriel said, swinging his legs a bit. The stool he was perched on was tall enough that his feet didn't quite touch the ground.

"He was relaying a message from a mutual friend," Eril elaborated, before turning back to Uriel. "Give my apologies to Milady, but I don't think I'll be able to attend tonight."

Uriel huffed at that, crossing his arms over his chest. "It'd be good for you and you miss it."

"Not now, Uriel," Eril murmured. "You have visitors."

The younger bard wrinkled his nose and slid off of his stool. "What are you kids doing here, anyway?"

[Devon]

Romi's attention was split, half on what was being said and the other half on messing with a few books he'd found in the room. "Well, we wanted to see how you were doing for the most part," Rem answered.

[Darastrix]

"Oh, I'm fine," Uriel said, giving a careless toss of his head. "Eril's being a stick in the mud, but I'm fine." He cut his eyes at the older man and made an exaggerated pout.

"That'll do, Uriel," Eril stated, and rose to take the guild ledgers out of Romi's reach. "I doubt you'd find our accounting a good read."

[Devon]

"Aw," Romi said as he looked over Eril over to the books. "Hey what else do they teach here, other than singing?" he asked Eril.

Rem snickered at Uriel and replied, "He doesn't look like he likes to get out too much."

[Darastrix]

"Strings, winds, brass, percussion, dance, storytelling, piano," Eril replied, ticking the items off on his fingers. "And a few others that aren't quite so popular, like acrobatics."


"He does," Uriel said, frowning faintly. "He's a guild bard. He's just got some other stuff going on."

[Devon]

"Why isn't acrobatics popular?" Romi asked, since he considered himself a bit of an acrobat. It was the method he and his brother had used to earn money while they traveled.

"Guild bards don't travel much do they?" Rem asked Uriel.

[Darastrix]

Eril shrugged. "Because the musical arts are preferred, I suppose. Most of our people are musicians or dancers."

"It'd be silly if they did," Uriel answered. "Being a guildie guarantees work. Travel doesn't, and your fees don't get you anything if you're not in town."

[Devon]

"Do they have any acrobats here?" Romi asked. "I want to see what they do, how good they are. I heard a lot of good things about the Bardic College here."

Rem nodded and wondered out loud, "What kind of bard are you Uriel?"
