Mina wanted to go check on her family as soon as she was back in Talen'sul but decided she had better not, and instead made a beeline to the Soahcian wing of the temple. "Feist!" she called out, looking around. "I'm back!"

"Good," came the somewhat muffled reply as Fiest lifted his head from a pillow. He'd spent a pleasant and comfortable time in the temple, but he'd been getting a little antsy for news. "What's the word?"

[Kender Bard]

Mina came towards the sound of his voice and knelt down near him. "It wasn't an entirely fruitful trip," she replied apologetically. "But what I can surmise is this - it almost certainly has something to do with the Proud, and that there's going to be considerable death and slaughter... for them. We are unsure what the eating of bodies and the mist means though. Further divinations done only revealed one more piece of imagery, which none of us can make head or tails of; a crumbling mountain. That's from Etaf mind, not Soahc."

[Darastrix]

Fiest grimaced. "Well, that's clear as mud. It could be anything from Flux itself to the Proud again." He shook his head. "This is all Constantine's fault. If he hadn't been so pissy over missing Soahc's visit, this probably wouldn't be happening. He shows back up at Flux after running off when a Wrath became high priestess, I tell him what he missed, and he decked me! I didn't do a damn thing to him."

[Kender Bard]

"Well him not being Wrathful himself aside, random violence in Flux sounds to me to be par," Mina replied calmly. "Not that it was a good thing to do. Still, I don't think it's fair to blame one man for what could quite possibly be years of resentment building up over time."

"Nowhere is it written in the Scrolls that things have to be fair," Fiest pointed out. "Besides, he'd probably like to think he was responsible if this all happens. The Proud kicked him out, the Wraths beat him up, and he had the high priest at the time put him out of his misery."

[Kender Bard]

Mina looked openly surprised at that. "The poor man!" she blurted, heart wringing with sympathy. "Being rejected by your fellow priests is one of the hardest things to endure." She pressed a hand against her heart, as if it ached with the memory of her own exile. "It's like... like your loved ones suddenly turning on you! Oh, I hope he's resting peacefully with the lord now."

[Darastrix]

"I hope not," Fiest said. "Unless he switched to one of the boring Forces right before he died. And he was Proud. He was his own dearest loved one." Fiest tapped a finger against the arm of his chair and frowned. "I suppose for their sakes, I ought to pop in on the Proud as soon as I get back. Chaos is all well and good and sometimes people die in Flux, though it's usually accidental, but I don't think I want to see an entire path get pulled apart. Besides, at this rate, they're never going to get my attention on their own."

[Kender Bard]

"Not with their high priest setting an example," Mina replied, a bit archly. "But I wish you good luck and hope that it all works out. It will be... quite a mess if it doesn't."

[Darastrix]

Fiest gave Mina a blank look at her first statement, then shrugged it off. "Guess I should round up Prophet and Mel," he said, getting to his feet. "Thanks for the help. I'll let you know how it goes."

"Please do," Mina agreed, and got up to hasten home and see her family again.
