Wait..are you in the right temple?

Tylenis stood before the temple of Taed in a dark blue fancy shirt&vest combo along with fine trousers and looked around at the bleak landscape and shakes his head...would it really be so horrible if there was a garden or two around here? "Well, nothing for it right now, just have to find the king here." He calls for the nearest priest he can see. "Hail, I am here to speak with your king, can you direct me to him?"

[Kender Bard]

The priestess, Mia, blinked slowly at Tylenis.

Granted, it was quite early (or late) in the day by her standards, but she didn't think she was so tired that she would be delusional as to what people were saying.

Rubbing her eyes, she walked over and asked in a deep (for a woman) voice, "Did you just ask to see our king?"

[tuo]

Tylenis nodded eagerly. "Yes, your king..or is it queen now? I am afraid I have not kept close watch on the court here lately..."

[Kender Bard]

Good Taed, Mia thought with a blank stare. This was just.. so... She couldn't even form coherent thoughts about the absurdity of this man.

Did the desert cook his brain?

Maybe he was just joking around? Maybe he was Soahcian?

Mia rubbed her eyes. She was way too tired for this. Sighing, she said, "There is no court. This is a temple. I don't think the nearest 'court' is for hundreds of miles. Probably in Maelstrom... or something. We have a high priest."

[tuo]

Tylenis took on a look of comprehension and lightly struck the bottom of his fist onto his open palm. "Oh that's right! I thought it'd be odd for a temple to have a court and king. Where is your high priest? I'd like to join."

[Kender Bard]

"You've got to be joking," Mia blurted. "Haha, yes yes, funny ruse. Come now, man, you thought we had a king and a court. Why on Naruta do you want to join the priesthood?"

[tuo]

"Umm...what would be a good answer?" Tylenis asks in an unsure tone. "Oh! Wait, I'm here to worship Taed for the prestige of my family." He answers with a happy smile at his answer.

[Kender Bard]

Mia grit her teeth at that. "I don't want the 'good' answer, I want the real answer. Are you seriously here to serve Taed on behalf of your family...?"

She didn't believe him, not when he put it like that. Then again, she wasn't sure if the man just didn't let words fall out of his mouth, truthful or not, making it hard to determine WHAT he meant.

Tylenis frowns at the unexpected response and scratches his head. "Well...I think it would be a good idea if I were to learn something about religion too...and this was the closest force home to Maelstrom."

[Kender Bard]

Well... that was a bit understandable. Going all the way out to a Force home was extreme when surely there were priests that could educate him in his homeland, but...

"I suppose we can see if the high priest can be bothered to meet with you," she said. Sighing, she trudged off up the stairs of the temple and towards the high priest's quarters.

[Devon]

Leaving his door open for the priests as usual, Christian was at the moment not busy, so he stood up and greeted Mia with a small smile as she approached. "Do you need something Mia?"

[Kender Bard]

Mia bowed to Christian and stepped aside once in his quarters, to make room for Tylenis. "Yes, high priest," she murmured. "This... man would like to be considered for the priesthood."

[tuo]

Tylenis smiles and gives a respectful bow to Christian. "Thank you for granting me an audience High Priest."

[Devon]

"It is no problem sir," Christian said, while taking a seat and ushering for Mia and Tylenis to take one as well. "So what is it that you want to know?"

[tuo]

Tylenis takes a seat gratefully before answering. "Well, I was wondering what being a priest of Taed actually involves I suppose. We give..last rites or something right?"
