Aideen rolled out of bed, stretching her wings while trying to be as silent as possible. It had been a good idea of Tres' to invite her oldest niece to Fira for awhile. She'd spent so much of her childhood here that most of the clan just saw her as one of them. Which meant no one objected too much to her assisting Tres with some of her aunt's duties, freeing Tres up to spend time with her family. It also let Aideen learn some of the desert healing remedies and complete her training under a healer over then her mother. Plus it let her rekindle her old friendship with Ann, which had lead to tonight. Dressing quickly in a pink silk dress, she touched her sign to dampen the sounds around her.
Hoping her guilty thoughts aren't loud enough to wake Thelon, she crept out of Tres' hut and made a dash for Ann's. The young leader looked up with a start as Aideen entered the hut then relaxed and smiled. "Aideen, you startled me."
"Sorry," Aideen replies and starts to look over Ann's pack. "I couldn't let you sneak off without saying goodbye. You sure you have everything you need?"
"I'm sure," Ann replies. "I won't be gone long." Aideen looks at her friend, then slips into the slightly cynical healer role.
"What about babybane?" she asks dryly. Ann blushes and mutters something none commital. Aideen sighs. "Ann, I don't mean to lecture you but-"
"Nothing like that will happen," Ann replies. "I'm just meeting him to talk, to tell Tuono the truth about who I am. He probably won't want anything to do with me when he finds out."
"Then he's a fool," Aideen replies softly. "Be careful Ann." Ann just smiles and heads outside to mount up, Aideen following her. "Efil's blessing, Ann," the young healer says quietly.
"You too, Aideen," Ann replies, then grins. "Too bad you've got those dusters on your back, or you could take my place." Aideen laughs, remembering how they would attempt to switch places when they were little and how their parents would play along. Ann nods to her old friend and kicks her mare into a trot, then a canter and gallop.
Aideen watches until Ann is out of site then starts to head back to Tres' hut. There's going to be no end to the chaos when people realise the Leader has vanished and she plans to enjoy watching it.
