Wine and a Prayer

Zack leaned back in his chair, sipping a glass of wine as he spoke seemingly to the empty air. "Y'know I'm not much on formality, right Boss? Doubt you are, either. And I guess it'd just be stupid to pretend I was anyway, so forgive me, Lovely," he added, winking and raising his glass.
"You, hmm." Zack leaned forward and set his glass down, resting his elbows on his desk. "I'm still not sure how to talk to you, though I've been talking your ear off lately, I'm sure. It might be better to write, but, really. Force or not, you don't want to try to look at my writing, trust me. If Zira can make it out, I'm sure you can, but you'd still be better off not trying."
He sighed and laid his head against the cool wood of the desk. "Az', Az', Az'.... He really loves you two. You probably know it, but what can I say? Your kids have a way with the obvious, huh?" Zack chuckled and sat back up. "And you make him very nervous, Boss. I'm probably about as much chaos as the poor kid wants in his life, and right now, whew. He's got more than enough right now, but still. Just one more change guys, please."
He turned his head slightly. "You gave him one day, and it made his year. Probably more. And I know him, he won't ask for more than that now that you've done so much for him. So I'm gonna ask. He's lost his home and his family. Yeah, technically they're still there, but disownment doesn't let that count for much, really. I don't want anything, really. And what I do want, well, I don't think I can get it either way." Zack closed his eyes briefly and swallowed. There was a long pause, then he kept on going, tugging at his feathers . "So I'm just going to ask for this for Zira. Give him the sun again? For keeps this time. It's almost cruel for him to have to live in Anarlina and not be able to stand the light. That's all I want, guys. And I'll keep bugging you, you know I will." Zack grinned faintly and raised his glass again. "Cheers."
After he'd downed the rest of his wine, he found his mind wandering back over to the topic that kept him increasingly occupied when he had nothing else to do: Zira. Or more specifically, Zira and Kleio. Zack had thought more than once that having your main confidant involved in what you needed to confide to someone really, really sucked.
Logically, a priest of Love would be the best person to approach, but he didn't want to go to the temple too much more than usual, lest his friends start thinking something was wrong. That also meant talking to Snow or Dusk was right out.
Zack poured himself another glass, which he drank quickly. He considered a third, and compromised with another half. Mellow was good. Drunk...that could very well create a few problems that he really didn't care to deal with the aftermath of. Setting his glass aside, he rose and left his room, heading for Twilight's. If he couldn't talk to his "long lost brother," who could he talk to?
