Etch carefully guided Meeka into Satich, explaining the nature of this place. "This place is where many spirits who are unable to let go of this world remain. You must be very careful to show proper respect and to leave a small gift if you plan on staying here for the night. Luckily it is still early in the day." Etch carefully pulls out a small sack of coins. "However, I still feel it is only good manners to present a gift no matter how brief my visit here. It has deep connections to Taed and sometimes I receive important visions. The gift is to both thank them for the visions." Silently he adds they are also meant to ask that they not torment him with needless visions of horror and death.

[Kender Bard]

Meeka grew closer to Etch, shivering faintly as she looked around. She didn't have much to offer. "Will I be in trouble if I don't give them something?" She glanced at him with a slight frown and added, "Why are we here, by the way?"

[tuo]

Etch smiles and and presses two coins into her palm. "If I receive a vision during my ritual and it seems it may last into the night, you could offer these to the spirits to stay with me."

[Kender Bard]

Relieved, Meeka placed the coins into her pocket and nodded. "While you are in trance, what should I do?" She looked around. The place looked like there wasn't much to see and even less to do. "Should I pray too?"

[tuo]

Etch smiled at her. "Only if you wish to. Personally I feel it's best not to pray unless you mean it."

[Kender Bard]

"I always have plenty to pray about," she muttered under her breath. Leaning over, she nuzzled his cheek a moment before pulling back. "Then I will leave you until you're ready to go." Picking a house, she entered to explore it.

Etch smiled and placed the bag of coins on a stand carefully before leaving the house and kneeling in a dead garden and traces the symbol for Taed in the dirt with his finger. When he finished he took out his dagger and gave his finger a slight prick with the dagger and let a few drops of blood land on the symbol for Taed. With that complete he kneels before the symbol and focuses his mind to accept visions.

[Kender Bard]

All the morning passes and into lunch. Meeka discreetly cooks their lunch, setting some aside for Etch as she eats in silence. Still, no visions come to Etch and soon the day is wearing thin - it will be dusk before long.

[tuo]

Etch starts to feel a little sore from sitting there for so long and he slowly stretches out. "Mmm...I apologize Meeka..I seem to have lost track of the time.." Even though he did not receive any visions he still bows his head to the symbol in respect to Taed before rising. "If you are feeling up to it, I think we can continue." He picks up the food Meeka set aside for him and smiles as he takes a bite.

[Kender Bard]

Meeka looked at Etch anxiously and with some concern. "Did you see anything?" she asked. "At all?" Normally she did not press or even ask Etch about his visions, but since they had taken their relationship to the next level, she has been more open and curious with him.

[tuo]

Etch shook his head. "No, it seems that Taed is content to let things continue as they are uninterrupted. I am sorry for making you wait so long."

[Kender Bard]

"It's okay," she murmured, reaching for his hand and holding it. "Where then are we headed to next?" She cocked her head, wondering in her limited fashion if there was anywhere left in the world to visit.

[tuo]

Etch held her hand and kisses her softly. "I was thinking perhaps of visiting either Kingdom Caelium or the kingdom of Anarlina. What do you think?"

[Kender Bard]

Meeka gently touched where his Storm sign lay, smiling. "Let us go to Caelium. I have heard it is very beautiful in the summer. Soon it will be autumn, and that is supposed to be lovely as well. I just know it would be a dangerous place to visit in the winter."

[tuo]

Etch nods and strokes her cheek softly. "Then let us be on our way and leave this place."
