[Kender Bard]

The market was abuzz with activity as people flocked to where the priests had outlined the bulk of the festival to take place. At the moment, the air was filled with the sound of music as the musicians plied their trade, playing music specially planned with Winds in mind - it was flighty, fast paced, light hearted. People often broke into dance out of sheer high spirits. Merchants were pleased to sell their wares to the crowd, specifically sweetmeats and other festival foods. While it would be a little while before the main show - the play - would begin, people where still having a good time. The priests made themselves readily available as well, in case people wished to query their nations' heritage.

Amaro's enjoying himself, the long burried scolar in him delighting in the enviroment. He'd chatted to the priests until he'd noticed Acqua getting fidgety. Now the Melissan-Ronoh siblings are wandering round the festival, looking for Talon, Alethia and the children. As they walk, Amaro pauses to buy a few sweetmeats.

"Here, Acqua," he says, passing some of the candy to his sister. Acqua grins.

"I love you," she tells him, sucking on the sweets. Amaro rolls his eyes.

"You're easily won over, aren't you kid?" he comments dryly. As Acqua giggles, Amaro looks around again for Talon.

The first to be found was, of course, Spice. Once he caught sight of his uncle, he came rocketing forward with all the enthusiasm his father would have shown and latched himself onto one of Amaro's legs. "Uncle Amaro!!" Spice squealed, laughing.

Crentha came tripping behind, still too young to run well, but able to walk on her own just fine. She made a beeline for Acqua, hugging her much more gently. "Aunt Ack-wah!"

The soft laughter of Alethia and Talon floated on the air as the two strolled leisurely up.

"Reny!" Acqua replies, smiling as she bends down to pick up her neice, cuddling the toddler and giving the little girl a sweetmeat.

"Slow down, Spice," laughs Amaro, picking the boy up. "You'll knock someone over like that." Chuckling, he tickles his nephew then smirks at Alethia, "Hey Alethia, couldn't you have raised your sister not to beg me for sweetmeats all the time."

"Hey," protests Acqua. "I didn't beg."

"No," Alethia laughed. "Because even I still do!"

Talon's eyes sparkled as he put his arm around his wife and slipped her another piece of candy. One of his pockets was bulging with the stuff - the Veatherfall's all had terrible sweet tooths.

"I wouldn't knock you over!" Spice declared between his giggles. "You're too big and strong, right?"

Crentha just giggled and popped the candy in her mouth, murmuring her thanks around it incoherently as she enjoyed the vantage and looked all around with bright, intelligent eyes.

"I didn't say you'd knock me over, did I you little monster?" Amaro laughs, lifting Spice onto his shoulders. Acqua, since Amaro's out of candy, shifts Crentha onto one hip and gives Talon a warm hug.

"All the fuss Alethia's getting, I feel left out," she giggles, but her fingers are sneaking lightly into Talon's pocket of candy.

Talon grins and hugs Acqua as tight as he can without dislodging his daughter from her arms. "Aw, you know I've always got a hug in store for you kiddo," he laughs. Alethia, watching Acqua, muffles her giggle and allows her little sister to pilfer from her husband.

Spice giggled and looked over the top of Amaro's head, exclaiming, "Those priest-men are really smart!" He lowered his voice into a conspirator y whisper. "They know the whole alphabet..!"

"They know a lot of really interresting stories too, Spice," Amaro replies. He glances towards the nearest priest with near longing. "It's a pity your brat of an aunt can't bare to have to think about something for too long or we could listen to them."

Acqua looks back over her shoulder and sticks her tounge out at Amaro. "I don't see what you're so interrested in," she comments. "It's just boring old stories." Amaro sighes.

"If you would actually listen rather then look for candy constantly," he begins. "You'd understand." Pausing, he adds, "Speaking of candy, I'd look out for yours, Talon." Grinning mischieviously, Acqua quickly stuffs the handful she'd stolen into her mouth.

Talon blinks and checks his pockets before grinning. "Aw," he chuckles, "It's okay. Little brat." He tries to tussle Acqua's hair. "You only had to ask!"

"If you want to go listen, take Spice with you or Crentha," Alethia offered. "We'll watch the bigger baby." She winked at her little sister.

Amaro laughs as Acqua ducks away from Talon and pulls a face at her sister. "I'll take Spice then," he comments. "Although if you're watching the brat, maybe I should take them both."

"Nooo," Acqua giggles, holding on to Crentha. "Reny doesn't need to be bored to death." Amaro rolls his eyes.

"Push her off a cliff somewhere would you?" he comments to Talon before walking off with Spice to listen to the nearest priest.

"Poor Spice," Acqua remarks with a grimace.

"I think Spice will enjoy himself," Alethia remarks with a wide smile.

"Bye bye!" Crentha called out after her brother and Amaro. Spice turned around and waved to her as he disappeared with Amaro into the crowd. "Aww, gone now..."

"Why don't we go watch the musicians a little?" Talon suggested.

"Okay," Acqua agrees, cheerfully following her brother and sister over to watch the musicians. While Acqua might not be at all interrested in a history lesson, she does have some fondness for music. Not to mention she'd never turn down some time with her sister. "Bet Cass is here somewhere," she thinks aloud, then smirks. "Well, if Amaro finds her, I doubt he'll be interrested in old history anymore."

[Darastrix]

Cass is indeed at the festival. The winged Maestra is over by the musicians, doing what she does best: dancing. Her partner, a slim redhead only about an inch taller than she, is quite obviously not as skilled as Cass. In fact, she's the one leading as they demonstrate one of Talen'sul's more traditional ballroom dances.

Acqua spots Cass and gives the older woman a small wave before turning her attention to fussing over Crentha. As she cuddles the little girl though, Acqua's eyes wander thoughtfully to the purses of passersby.

She's not really intending to steal, but her temptation is visible.

Crentha laughed and put a palm on Acqua's cheek, patting her as though reading her gaze. "Auntie auntie, auntie," she said a few times in mantra.

Alethia giggled. "I never would have guessed she'd take such a fondness to you, sis. But I'm glad she has."

Talon grinned as he knelt and kissed his daughter's forehead. "Music, baby. Don't you like it?"

"Moosick," Crentha giggled and calmed down to listen, until she caught sight of Cass and grew excited again. "Other Auntie!"
