"Now?" Thavan asked incredulously, running a hand carefully through his hair-spines. "Forces, I just got done with a spar. Can't she wait for me to rest? I mean, that's unfair! She's had all day to prepare and I'm bruised and tired."

Aakel kissed her mate on the cheek, "Well if I recall, she said whenever you were ready. So let's take a break, you two can spar tomorrow."

Thavan let a sigh of relief go with that. "Aye, I'll go tell her." Smiling fondly at Aakel and with Ruurl out of his mind for the moment, he sought out the Officer to let her know of the delay.

Nyala was sitting outside of her somewhat isolated hut, lazily watching the village. Her division was on night guard today, so she took advantage of her free daylight hours.

Ever since she had returned from her quest, the she-wolf felt detached from her fellow Poldorans. How ignorant they now seemed... But to find this stranger, a Water type no less, trying to make his way as a Poldoran Warrior intrigued her. It also gave Nyala a much needed spark of excitement. She was looking foward to their spar...

The Officer saw the Water type coming now and her ears perked up, "Well, well..." she murmured to herself. She stood and stretched, waiting for him to come up to her. Nyala took an authoritive stance, crossing her arms and raising her tail. A silent greeting.

Thavan bowed his head politely to her. Some Ronduin traits were hard to break. "Hello Officer," he greeted. "I got your message. Seeing as I just finished a rigorous spar, I was hoping you would be willing to delay our match until tomorrow."

Nyala grunted, but nodded. Unlike her fellow Beasts, she wasn't at all bothered by Thavan's courtersy. "Don't get yerself beat up too badly, Water type, I want to make sure I don't have to fight a weakling pup. If I win, I wouldn't gain much of a reputation..."

She yawned, long fangs glinting, "Get some sleep." Nyala said gruffly, but not alltogether unkindly.

Thavan smiled, thankful for her understanding. He'd take a little dose of healing water and would wake up good as new. "Thank you. I will. Rest well, m'lady." Turning, he sought his way back to Aakel, in pleasant mood and having forgotten Ruurl again for the moment.

Shade sighed softly from his perch. ~Well you'd better get up early if I'm going to teach you a trick or two.~

"I will," Thavan promised with amusement.
