[Northen Light36]

It's a typical morning at the Melissan-Ronoh house. The sun is shining, the birds are flying away as fast as their wings will carry them and Amaro is shouting at Acqua.

"ACQUA MELISSAN-RONOH! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU!"

Snickering as her brother bellows upstairs, Acqua slips out the door and runs down the path, only to run into Talon as he comes through the gate.

[Kender Bard]

"Woah!" Talon exclaims, grabbing Acqua by the shoulders to both stall her and keep her steady as he falls back a step. "What's going on, Acqua? Amaro wake up on the wrong side of the house?"

Acqua tries to look somewhat innocent, but her giggling gives her away. "I couldn't sleep last night," Acqua snickers. "So I thought I'd reorganise Amaro's weapons a little. He'll find them all, eventually."

[Kender Bard]

Talon chuckled and let go of her. "Better run faster," he advised. "I'll see if I can't distract him." With a grin and a spring in his step, Talon hurried up the Melissan-Ronoh house to see if he couldn't catch Amaro's reaction to the prank.

Acqua giggles and flees. Pranks with Amaro's weaponry are always risky after all.

Amaro's snarlling and muttering dire threats as he stalks around, still dressing in his sleeping clothes, tearing the house apart in the hunt for his stolen weapons. So far he's managed to find one dagger, which is lying on the table.

Talon can't help himself and begins to chuckle heartily. "Do you want a hand?" he asks, feeling both bad for Amaro and enjoying a great amusement at his expense.

"A hand in finding my weapons or a hand in strangling our sister?" Amaro asks dryly. "I'll accept both." He looks around in frustration. "Normal people heat some milk when they can't sleep. Not our oh so charming sister though. No, SHE thinks up ways to drive me mad."

[Kender Bard]

Talon tries to stifle his giggles as he goes about, his keen eye picking out the faintest glimmer of metal amongst Amaro's things. While helping to search, Talon says, "Well she's gone now. Alethia's taken the children to play with some friends of theirs as well. Why don't you and I spend the day together? We'll check in at work and go hunting. Just the two of us."

"Like old times, hmm?" Amaro asks with a hint of a smile as the last of his weapons are retrieved. "Well if you're so bored you're looking to me for amusement, I guess I'd better agree just to keep you out of trouble." Despite his words, Amaro's as eager as Talon.

[Kender Bard]

"Great!" Talon exclaims, not bothering to hide his delight and excitement. "I'll run on ahead and let them know we're on duty today. I've got my things all ready at home, so I'll just pick it up on the way there. I'll meet you in the usual starting spot in, oh, half an hour?"

Amaro nods as he grabs the last of his missing weapons from under the couch. "Fine," he agrees. "I'll see you there as soon as I've gotten dressed."

Twenty minutes or so later, Amaro arrives at the meeting spot, ready for hunting. He's even got a few supplies for lunch, and dinner, and breakfast tucked away in his pack. It's slightly paranoid, but Amaro's well aware that trips with Talon rarely go according to plan.

'If they had, I'd have dropped him at Sparkstrike and never seen him again,' he thinks, amused. To himself though, Amaro has to admit he's glad life didn't work out that way.

Clear, melodic whistling cuts through the air as Talon strolls up, looking bright eyed and excited. His pack is full of supplies, his daggers are sharpened, and his short sword was ready for action.

Grinning at Amaro, Talon ran the last stretch to meet with his friend. "Well! Ready?"

"I'm ready," Amaro replies, amused at Talon's excitement. "Should we just pick a direction to walk or do you already have somewhere in mind for hunting?" he asks, carefully keeping the excitement out of his voice. He's going to enjoy this, it's been too long since he and Talon spent time together without there being trouble to prompt it, but there's no point in letting his excitement stir up Talon.

[Kender Bard]

"We go where the wind blows us!" Talon declared, turning around in circles until he determined exactly where the wind was blowing to - then set out in that direction. "Let's try to get some good primary feathers off the rocs we nab. They go for a good price in the market."

"Fine with me," Amaro agrees, walking with his friend. After a few moments, he pauses and gives Talon a mildly annoyed look. "Talon," he sighes. "Why is it we can never go anywhere without you whistling?"
