Some time after Nissar and Rajani returns to Morilanta, one of the priests rushes up to them. "Lord Nissar! High Priestess Rajani! Deathvine...she..she died!"

Nissar looks down at the priest. "So? She was sentenced to die regardless, why is this news?"

The priest wrings his hands as he thinks of how to say this. "She...she broke out of her bindings and went on a rampage, screaming and ranting about Worg and Evil..when she went by her old garden, she suddenly tripped over a root and tumbled into a briar patch and she began screaming louder then before and thrashed around..she got greatly tangled inside of the thorns and after several minutes she bled to death from the shredded flesh.."

Nissar smirked. "Really? That hardly seems possible for her to act in such a way, let alone allowing herself to die by one of her own plants..especially one that is not poisoned..." He glances at Rajani to see her reaction.

[Kender Bard]

Rajani was grinning ear to ear, overjoyed at the success of their new toy. "Take her carcass and feed it to the dogs," she ordered the priest. "Be sure to collect samples of the plant for future use however - particularly the bloodiest bits. Lord Nissar and I have plans. Leave us."

[tuo]

The priest bobs his head. "O-of course. As you command." He hurries off to fulfill the orders.

Nissar considered the options that the book may have. He uses a mind sign to speak with Rajani mentally. ~I am not sure I could have done that on my own to Deathvine that effectively as the book has done..~

[Kender Bard]

Rajani just smiles knowingly and pats his shoulder softly, speaking in a low whisper, "Which is good that you have it. Now, Lord, let us go to somewhere where the walls have no ears and discuss Morilanta's future. Perhaps my inner sanctum of the temple would suffice?"

Nissar rose and nodded. "That is a fine idea." He begins to walk to Rajani's chambers with her.

[Kender Bard]

Rajani led the way, shooing off inquisitive priests or anyone else who sought to disturb them. Once in the inner sanctum, replete with its own small shrine and altar for Rajani's personal use, they were bothered no more. She closed the heavy oaken door and turned, smiling. "Nobody will bother us here. There is nowhere for them to listen. We may speak freely." She knelt in front of her personal altar, intent on doing a few tiny rituals while she spoke.

Dabbing her fingers in the scented oil dish nearby she inquired, "What nation do you intend to first bring to their knees?"

Nissar sat down with his legs crossed as he considered the question. "I have been considering that ever since we came to this land..For the time being Ekaitz is being compliant so there is little need to crush them underfoot just yet. For now I believe we should strengthen our position before we use the book to solve every problem. The spirit herself said that it has limitations and rules. I would rather not rely too much on it without knowing these rules if possible."

[Kender Bard]

"The mere threat of the book is a power all in itself," Rajani pointed out. "But you are right. I do not want you risking your life over frivolity. But we still need a goal." Carefully the priestess anointed herself. "Just pick a nation."

[tuo]

"Ronduin." Nissar says without further thought. "They represent both an ability to hinder our efforts..and to give us a swift method of sending messages if we can take it...however from what I have heard it may be difficult to conquer it since there are many who live beneath the water..." Nissar grins as he considers how to deal with them. "And that is why we need to gain the co-operation from Khelek and Lucifer..."

[Kender Bard]

"So before we take on Ronduin you propose we visit your opponent to the north?" Rajani pressed, dribbling a few drops of the oil on the stone altar and setting it alight as she prayed.

[tuo]

Nissar nodded. "Exactly. It is past time we brought him to heel and used his power to serve Morilanta as he should have to begin with."

[Kender Bard]

"When do you plan to depart?" Rajani inquired, rising and rubbing the oil so it made her skin glisten in the candle light of the room. "And am I to come with you?"

[tuo]

"I plan to go there tomorrow. And you may come with me if you desire it." He smiles and stands back up.

[Kender Bard]

"I would be delighted," Rajani agreed. "Someone has to keep you warm in the ice lands." She smiled and extended a hand to him. "Tarry with me?"

Nissar nods and accepts her hand. "There is little business that requires my attention tonight."
