Meeka looked around New Morilanta with no change in emotion; no interest, no horror. This was a place, just like any other.

Deep in her mind, she reflected that it was not as beautiful as some of the places that Etch had shown her. Ronduin and Autus were both full of life. This place did not radiate that same aura. The inklings of sadness tinged her thoughts, and she shook her head, as though to dislodge the thoughts.

It wouldn't do any good to think about it. Nostalgia does not change anything. Fate will have its way. Had she not called out for Etch, and had he not come to her aid? If it is Etaf's will that she be here, and in the custody of a new master, then she had better try to find some beauty here as well or simply not think of it at all.

The mind who teleported her to Morilanta continued to lead her into a large building and eventually to a large set of double doors. Without a word spoken from the guards or the mind, they open up and he continues to lead her through.

Inside the room there were four people lining the walls and at the end sat Nissar on an impressive looking throne with Rajani standing next to him. For the first time the Mind speaks to Meeka. "Bow before the Imperator heathen!" He shoves her so that she would fall on her hands and knees.

Meeka falls with but the smallest of cries, more out of surprise. She goes even farther than to simply remain prone, but prostrates herself until her chin touches the floor. "Master," she said, simply and dully, to Nissar.

"This one learns fast," Rajani commented to Nissar.

Nissar nods. "Indeed.." He stands up and makes a motion for the other four people in the room and the mind to leave, just leaving Nissar, Rajani and Meeka.

Nissar looks down at Meeka. "You may rise to your knees child."

Meeka does so, not rising a bit more than the parameters indicated. Looking up at Nissar, she remains silently, aside from the murmur of, "Yes master."

"I like her," Rajani says approvingly.

Nissar stands up with a smirk and approaches Meeka as he touches his signs to scan her mind. "You wear the chains of Etaf well. That is a good quality in a slave." He walks around her, examining her carefully. "You posses an interesting skill with your signs..if Deathvine is to be believed, you have the power to manipulate lava to come to the surface all on your own, is that correct?"

"That is correct," Meeka says, and then nothing more.

Rajani leans against the throne, careful not to actually sit on the coveted seat as she observes Nissar's pacing. "May we have an example?"

Meeka brought her sighs together with a murmur, focusing. Abruptly, lava flowed out of a crack in the flagstone in front of her.

Nissar eyes the lava flowing out of the crack curiously. "How well can you control it? Can you cause it to stop when you wish or produce more than that?"

[Kender Bard]

Meeka makes a little movement of her hand, an abrupt cutting off, and the lava begins to cool and cease its flow. Before completely cooling she makes another hand motion and it glows a moment, liquefying, before the flow continues.

"My power has typically only been used for patching, for sustained endurance. To use it offensively would be very draining, very fast. I could, perhaps, only make one 'burst' offensively."

Nissar observes what she does and scans her mind to search if what she says is true. "...Is it possible for you to teach others to use this skill?"

[Kender Bard]

Meeka nods slowly. "But there are limits. I do not believe a single fire-earth could learn this. It would require a group effort of fires and earths. However... The ability is able to passed on if taught to children at a very young age, when they are just learning their powers. This requires time and effort. It is a slow process, but the result is their ability to do just as I do, singularly or with only two people of the necessary elements. The payment of my power is that I cannot use either of my signs separately for more than the most basic, rudimentary things. Even that is tiring."

Nissar frowns as he hears her explain how it works and moves to sit back down on his throne. "This audience is over." The doors open and a couple guards enter. "Take her to her cell. Give her time to consider methods on how to teach others her skill more easily."

Nissar speaks telepathically to Rajani. ~Find any fire and earth sign soldiers and priests are able. I want them to learn as much of this as they can..calling forth lava in even small amounts can have tremendous use..~

Rajani nodded, wondering if she should caution Nissar about being too rough on the girl. Not that she cared, but the woman's physical capacity for things was untested. It would be a shame to break their new toy so soon.

But she said nothing and tried to keep her thoughts to herself. "It will be as you wish, Lord." Bowing, she headed out of the room to carry out his will.

Nissar broods for a few moments after everybody has left before sending out a mental message to a few people that he will be on business in Ekaitz before teleporting.
