Arise, Commander of Death

[Kender Bard]

Thessa hovered over Christian and called out his name. "Wake, Christian. Your 'men' need you today."

[Devon]

Christian sits up in his bed and looks to Thessa. With a calm nod, he got out of bed and went about his morning routine. Finally dressed he looked to her and headed towards the door. "Well the day has come hasn't it."

[Kender Bard]

"Aye," Thessa intoned. "The forces have amassed at Acoia. I do not know what you were waiting for, but it can wait no longer. Perhaps your messenger got waylaid. I can take you, though." She held a hand out to him. "It will not be pleasant, but we will be there in the span of a heartbeat." She hesitated, and added, "In fact, it will be quite painful, but I will do what I can to make it bearable."

[Devon]

I do hope Saph made it to Maelstrom okay. For a man to have received a force vision, he wasn't very helpful. I can't blame him, I wouldn't want to be involved either. Christian takes her hand sort of, since it would normally just pass through hers. "Don't worry about it, you've felt more pain than I have. This will be nothing for me."

[Kender Bard]

"I certainly hope so," she whispered, moving closer, face coming near his. She hesitated, as though she were wondering whether or not to kiss him, but abruptly drew back and turned her back to him. "Walk into me," she ordered.

[Devon]

Christian does as he is told and steps into her. There was probably no situation that was as awkward as this.

[Kender Bard]

As Thessa's ghostly form settles over Christian's, outlining him in an unearthly hue, a cold so freezing that it burned like the hottest fire seeped into his body. Thessa caught her proverbial breath, and then faded away...

...taking him with her.
