Cloud's approach to Thunderclap is much more delayed since he figured he owed Rain the rest. So, half of the trip was done on foot, and the rest at less of a breakneck speed. He does approach the gates mounted, though. "I have an important message from King Shadow," he calls out. "Gather the people."

The gates open smoothly and a middle-aged man looks out over the wall at Cloud. "Mite young to be carrying important messages aren't you?" he comments. "Well come in. If you ring the bell in the town square everyone will gather quickly enough."

Cloud smiles at the man, thankful that the people here seem more approachable than Dark Cloud had been. Urging Rain foreward at a walk, he locates the bell and gives it a good, hearty ringing.

Soon just about everyone in the village has gathered in the Square. "What's the message boy?" calls the guard who told Cloud to ring the bell.

[Kender Bard]

"King Shadow has received news of a dangerous threat to all the one-signers," Cloud explains in a clear, loud voice. "There is a movement of madmen out to kill them all. He requests that you people, especially the single signers, move close to the capitol or within it, so that you will be better protected. I can lead the way to anyone who needs to know."

"We know the way, messenger," the guard calls. "We'll be on our way as soon as our people have gathered up what belongings can be brought with them."

[Kender Bard]

Cloud nods, bids a few individuals near him good luck, and heads back to Maelstrom.
