Celesta is standing on a smooth, clear surface in the middle of a dark, black void. A trickle of sand pours down on her head; hardly anything at all, though relentless. She is standing in the bottom half of an hourglass! The sand pours so slowly that it's easy to stay on top of it as it gradually fills the bottom half. There comes a loud, horrible noise though; dragons keening in pain and sorrow. The glass begins to quiver in resonance until it suddenly breaks, then shatters completely, spilling Celesta and the sand into the dark abyss. There is no sense of up or down, past or present during the fall. And then... land! The land of Naruta, rushing up to meet her at a dizzying speed. She hits the ground, but the sand cushions her, rendering the impact utterly painless. Rolling hills surround her. To the north, tall, majestic mountains. To the south, the distant slopes of the Naurorod volcano.

"Come," whispers a voice as sibilant as the sound of falling sand.

And then she wakes up.

Celesta sits up in her bed with a gasp. The dream... Dream? No... Vision.... The vision hadn't been frighting, but there'd been such power behind it... "I have to go," she whispers into the night air, rolling out of bed despite it being pitch dark. All that remains of the vision is the image of the hills, the mountains and the volcano, but there's a presure in her mind that she has to leave now. Barely taking the time to change into clothes suitable for travelling and to gather up some basic supplies, Celesta slips out into the night with only one goal in mind. To answer the voice's call.

The man on duty outside her hut was drowsy, but enough about him was awake to see Celestia leaving. He kind of looks at her strangly for a moment, but when he begins to think she wasn't just stepping out for some fresh air he decides to approach.

"Milady, where are you going? Even with the calming it is still a dangerous time, you shouldn't be so ill prepared to leave you're home."

He dosn't seem hostile at all, in fact he was just thinking of her best interests. Narcissa would have him skinned if he just let her walk off and get robbed or harassed on the streets. Of course he always imagined a forigner doing it, as if his people are exempt for some reason. It is blissful ignorance in this case.

Celesta blinks a few times, her expression just slightly dazed. "I... I have to go," she murmurs, trying to step around the guard. Her mind is almost fully on that tugging urge to leave and she could no more disobey that whispered command then she could have flown on wings of stone.

The guard stands in almost amazement of the trance she was in. It didn't register for a while what he had to do in this situation. It was almost as though she is sleepwalking, although she answered his question willfully enough.

"Celestia... Celestia! I can't just let you walk off. You have a sacred oath with this mountain. You need to get a written exception for someone of you're rank to just wander off. It would be easy enough for you but you will have to wait until morning. Please, rest yourself and I will personally make this an open action item for the General in the morning."

He even added a smile to this to sound even more plesent. He really wasn't one to stop her, and didn't even know why he assumed right away that having to go meant off the mountain. It may have been the trancelike walk and the fact she didn't tell him an actual destination.

Celesta looks dazedly at the guard for a moment then shakes her head. "I can't wait," she replies, firmly despite her distant tone. "I must answer the call right away... There's no time to wait..." The priestess continues to walk as she talks, not pausing in her stride even once.

The guard simply stood in shock as she began to walk by. For a while he is standing like time itself was freezing for him. That is because his mind was trying to figure out what to do. Does he let her go? Does he arrest her? You don't just arrest someone of her rank, and it isn't like she is going to hurt anything. Celestia can be trusted.

"I- well... um."

With a few moments more of monosyllabic idiocy his legs begin moving almost on thier own. Following the woman as if that is what they were meant to do. After a while it was obvious that thie fate, at least for the moment, is bound as he follows wordlessly behind her.
