Looking for what isn't there...|Ronduin

Amaro makes his way to the Great River's edge then frowns. It's too far for him to swim and it doesn't look like there are any boats heading to the city of waters. "If you've chosen Ronduin to hide, I admit you've chosen well kid," he mutters, before deciding to sit down and wait for Taurus to catch up. Without anything to distract him, Amaro can't help but worry. With an injured leg, could Acqua even manage to cross the river? Surely after traveling this far, her injury would be giving her a great deal of trouble. Amaro closes his eyes and tries not to think of Acqua getting a leg cramp in the middle of the river and sinking to the bottom.

After getting rested up, Taurus teleports to Amaro. He covers his eyes and looks out over the River. "Do you think she's here?" Personally, Taurus didn't think so. He wasn't sure why, but his gut was saying that they'd find nothing in Ronduin.

"I doubt it," admits Amaro. "One, I don't think she'd be able to make it across the river and two, almost every water she's meet has rubbed her the wrong way - at least as far as I know. She's too hot-tempered and quick to fight to see eye to eye with a lot of people here..." Amaro frowns worriedly. "But if she's not here and not in Maelstorm, I'm not sure there's anywhere else she could have made it too without collapsing, Taurus."

Taurus can't help but voice his concerns. "Perhaps she did collapse, Amaro, which is what I fear. I'll search Ronduin, but perhaps you should find another direction to set out on and begin a larger search."

"Good idea," Amaro agrees. "I'll head towards Ilyamen and search the area between there and Maelstorm." Never one to nurse false hope, Amaro forces himself to add, "Taurus... the mountains are ridden with monsters and wild animals... If Acqua has collapsed there... We may be too late to save her. I'm not saying either of us should give up, but I want you to prepare yourself for the worst."

Taurus clenches his fists and steels his mind, giving a curt nod. Stomach knotted painfully, he teleports away to Ronduin before he makes a scene.

Amaro sighes and sets off for Ilyamen, hoping beyond hope that the warning he gave Taurus will prove to have been unnessicary.
