Cassandra Harper, Maestra of Talen'sul's bardic college, wistled a cheerful tune as she made her way to the local tavern. Since her guild was, after all, a school, news of their Lady's marriage to Lord Shadow and the unification of the two kingdoms had spread like wildfire through the students and faculty. The gossip among them alone was probably enough to spread things across the mountain rather quickly, but Cass liked to have a hand in things herself. Especially when it could involve going to a tavern and entertaining the patrons, and honestly, what couldn't?

Smiling brightly, she walked into the tavern to see who her audience for the day would be.

From the table in the corner, Toreny sipped daintily at her tea, letting her attention drift from conversation to conversation. After her long day of trudging through mountinous terrian, the warmth of the tavern and the drink were making her rather relaxed and drowsy. Normally, in a place like this, she would be performing- most likely an energetic tune to rouse the crowd. Toreny really lacked the coins to allow herself to indulge and pass up working for the night, but a sore throat and achey limbs induced reluctance to perform. She leaned her wooden chair back up against the wall, her bangs flopping over her right eye (which was currently an uncanny silver color).

"I'm going to get lazy..." Toreny thought to herself. Rummaging in her pack for a moment, she pulled out a small parchment sketchbook. In it were many small drawings: a crushed flower, a handsome young man who had smiled at her, a rocky, abandoned, forest road. With a shrug, Toreny produced a small piece of charcol from her sleeve, and began a simple sketch of the tavern's interior.

((Well, now you're back, if you still want to continue, that's cool. If not... well, that's cool too. =^ ^=))

"Care for some more tea, Miss? We've got some fresh; nice and hot," a serving girl asked politely, smiling at Toreny. "Oh, and you might want to get a better table. We're in for a real treat tonight, I think," she said, gesturing at the bar.

Cass, meanwhile, was talking cheerfully with the barkeep, twirling a flute in her hand, and gesturing at a central table. The man shook his head in feigned annoyance and called for one of the other serving wenches to clear off the table's surface. The redheaded woman laughed and bowed deeply in thanks and skipped over to the table, obviously preparing to stand on top of it.

Ceria and Bristle, going for a casual morning stroll, spot Cass. Ceria grins, and starts to head over but a sudden strong wind makes her pause and throw an arm up to protect her eyes. When the wind dies down, she has the oddest sensation... Glancing back over her shoulder, her eyes widen as she marvels at her new wings. Goodness! Not a few days as a resident of Talen'sul and already she was assaulted with surprises.

Since she was going to speak to the Maestra anyway, Ceria ran over, calling out, "Maestra Cass!! Maestra Cass!"

Bristle looks at Ceria in awe. "Wow...how did that happen?!" He blinks and notices her run to Cass and runs after. "Maestra Cass! Remember me?!" ^_^
