Hangovers and Teleporting, Oh My|Raynham, Reave

Charminei hummed happily to herself as she strolled to Locke's room, slipping out the key and letting herself in, only knocking belatedly as she was opening the door. "Hey Locke, you up?"

Locke had pulled his mantle over his head some time around dawn and wept: A headache very much like a migraine had woken him up, and only recently had the throbbing, pounding, agonizing pain lessened. Not by much, but enough for him to test his limbs and visit the bathroom without falling over repeatedly.

When Charminei arrived, Locke had been lying on the bed again with his eyes shut, massaging his temples in hopes of reducing the pain a bit more, and resolving to remember if he MUST drink around a Fire, to keep it to one mug. Someone of his build was very much a lightweight.

"I'm up," he told Charminei. "Just barely, but I'm up." Keeping his eyes closed, he sat up carefully, swinging his legs off the bed to the floor with a groan. "Ah, Forces.... I suppose you're ready to go back to Reave?"

"Mmhmm," she replied. "Furthermore, Alexi wants to go with us." She grinned in anticipation of Locke's reaction to THAT little bit of news.

Locke muttered something very potent and very out of character. But he did not raise any objections. "Has our stay been paid for?" he asked instead, feeling his way to the door.

"Yup," Charminei chirped, going over and offering her arm in support. "Come on, now. The sooner we're back in Reave, the sooner we can snatch an herblady into giving you some ginger for that hangover you have."

"Ginger works for hangovers?" Locke inquired, allowing Charminei to escort him outside.

"Hey, kid," Alexi greeted with a grin that was entirely too chipper. "How's the head?"

"I don't have one any more. It exploded a while ago. Thanks for asking," Locke dryly retorted, opening his eyes to peek at the bounty hunter. He promptly frowned when he saw Lars laden down with supplies. "You forgot to mention a horse, Charminei."

Charminei shrugged and grinned sheepishly. "I forgot. And yes, ginger works for hangovers. Get us all to Reave, or close to it, in one piece and I'll smother you in ginger and lavender."

"I'll take you first," Locke told Charminei, "because then I can come back, get the horse, and have you hang on to him while I get this big lout."

"Better big than skinny," Alexi said cheerfully.

The Mind sighed, closing his eyes and touching his Sign. "Ready?"

Charminei just nodded, pressing her tongue against the roof of her mouth and activating her sign in hopes of helping however she can.

They vanished-

And Locke reappeared alone. He shook his head, blinked a few times, then held out a hand for Lars' reins. The horse gave the Mind a sniff, then allowed Alexi to pass the straps over. "This won't take long, right?" the bounty hunter inquired.

"No, just a moment or so," Locke assured him. "I haven't heard of animals being poorly effected by teleportation, though, if that's what worries you."

Alexi snorted, but it was plain he had been worried.

Locke smiled slightly, vanished, then reappeared, leaning against the inn wall for a short time before he was ready to go again.

"You look like you're gonna need a nap," Alexi observed.

"I am," Locke replied wryly, touching the taller man's wrist and whisking them away.
