A young man sits on the beach|Rivenway, Ronduin

idly fingering a glass bottle as he gazes in the distant.

A man with an empty left sleeve and a sword at his left side approaches the beach and the young man, silently.

[Kender Bard]

The man doesn't notice him for a very long time, until something seems to click in his head and he looks over. Startled, he drops the bottle on the sand. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there."

[nohbdy]

The man sits on the beach and greets the young man. "I get that a lot. Hope you don't mind if I rest here a bit."

[Kender Bard]

"No of course I don't mind," the man replies, smiling a little. "It's a big beach, there's room for two. It's a good spot to think too." He glances at the missing arm and adds, "Do you want some assistance?"

Kehn'drast shakes his head and stares silently over the water.

[Kender Bard]

The man goes back to fiddling with his bottle. "Beautiful, isn't it?"

[Kender Bard]

The man suddenly stands up, alert to some unseen warning. "There's something coming this way. A large group of people."

[nohbdy]

Kehn'drast continues to stare over the water, unnerved. "Let them come. If you fear them, feel free to run."

[Kender Bard]

The man licks his lips nervously and looks hard at the bottle in his hand. Nodding to himself, he lets the bottle fall from his hand and land on the sand as he braces himself.

In the distance, the Clear army comes, escorted by their captured Water elementals. Spotting the man and Kehn'drast, they point and direct the army towards the two men. The man with the bottle suddenly starts to jerk and convulse in pain, holding his head and collapsing to his knees. At the same time, the two Wind types form barriers of wind, like nets, behind the two men as the five water elementals try knocking Kehn'drast out with a combined, concussion force stream of water.

The force of the water sends Kehn'drast into the net of wind. Despite the force, Kehn'drast is not knocked out, but is still fairly battered by the attack.

[Kender Bard]

Thelon reaches out with his mind and brushes his power up against Kehn'drast's mentality, like a predator waiting to pounce. The Clears hurry over, already having secured the other Water type as one of their new pets, and group together to focus their ability on Kehn'drast.

"Who is your master?" one of the females asks in a commanding tone.

[nohbdy]

Calmly, Kehndrast answers, "I have no master." He looks at the group of clears. "You are clears? You have the power to control elementals?" Kehn'drast reaches over with one hand and grabs the stump of where his left arm once was, years ago. "I no longer am an elemental..."

Exchanging disbelieving looks, a couple of the Clears look him over for a sign. Finding none, they stand back, looking rather disgusted.
"He's worthless to us," one of the men says. "Let's just leave him here." One of the women looks more thoughtful.
"I don't suppose you wish to come with us of your own free will?" she ventures to ask.

(I didn't see it until just after I posted... ^^" Can I give him some kind of unknown resistance to clears, and just say he believes it to be because the lack of his elemental?)

Still holding the stump of where his arm was, Kehn'drast turns away from the clears. "Even if you didn't force those to go with you with your powers, I still wouldn't go. But I also am not foolish enough to try to stop you from doing what you want." Kehn'drast sits again, and continues to look out across the water.
