Taed took hold of Kamilla's hand and began to take her energy. It wasn't painful, though she did experience a sudden dizziness followed by intense fatigue as Taed withdrew his hand. Already, the rest of his wounds were closing, aided by Ivan's healing water. "I'm fine now," he told the healer. "See to others."
He got up, regarding Morrigan with a little frown. "And as for Zira, he is in the hands of the finest mortal healer."
"But the pain," Morrigan added with a weak gesture.
"Very well," Taed conceded. He had time to spare for this, at least. Walking over to his follower, Morrigan close to his side, Taed moved to Zira's prone side. "Your assistance will be needed with the Beast, Suri," Taed told Dart. "I will handle this one. Her life is slipping away and soon she'll be in my halls, I feel." He reached down and touched Zira's forehead with cool fingertips. That coolness seemed to spread into Zira and out through his body. It wasn't painful cold, though it reminiscent of the chill one would feel on a misty night in the dark of fall. Where it touched, pain disappeared.
It didn't take long either. Taed rose and glanced with a half-amused, half-annoyed look at Morrigan. "Better?"
Morrigan went to her knees. "Yes, my lord," she whispered, moved by his generosity... and out of relief for Zira.
Filly looked at Taed and smiled faintly. "Don't get that badly hurt again."
"I'll try not to," Taed snorted, moving off to the portal to rejoin the battlefield.
