This thread is to post IC interactions that weren't seen "on-camera." (One full convo per post, otherwise, nobody will understand what just happened. :-P)

Midnight seeks Zack's advice on proposing to Princess Snowflake:
Zack opened his door and blinked in surprise. "Ah, Midnight. What brings you here?" he said, leaving the door open and returning to his desk.
"I thought I might ask a bit of your...professional advice, as a bard," the guard replied, stepping inside and shutting the door.
"Mmm?"
"I wish to propose to Snowflake, but I'm not exactly a wordsmith. But at the same time, I don't want to recite someone else's words."
Zack arched an eyebrow. "If you don't want me to write something for you, what can I give you?"
"I was rather hoping you could tell me."
"Well, why do you want to marry her?" he queried as he picked back up with the writing that Midnight seemed to have interrupted.
"What? Because I love her, of course."
"And why do you love her?"
"It's not something I've given question to; it just is."
"Humour me, Midnight."
"She's...beautiful. She's sweet and kind and gentle...are you going to write or are you listening?"
"I'm listening, I assure you. I can do two things at once, after all. Not that grand of a reason, though. I can give you a dozen women who fit that description, your sister included. Why do you want to marry her?"
"Snowflake is hardly like my sister. Dusk has a wicked sense of humour. She's bit unladylike and improperly playful at times. Snow's not like that. ...are you quite sure you're listening, Zachriel?"
"Mmm-hmm. To recap, you love Snowflake because she's pretty, sweet, and has good manners and a sense of propriety, just like some of the other women at court."
Midnight's feathers stood out in irritation. "What? Dammit, Zack, would you LISTEN to me? Yes, I know other women are pretty and sweet, but they're not Snowflake. She's those things, but in her own way. I love Snowflake, not any of the other ladies at court."
"If you say so, 'Night," Zack replied absently, still jotting away.
"What kind of a bard are you?" Midnight blurted. "I've heard you sing romantic ballads before, but do you even understand a bit of it? Is acting the part all you can do? I know I'm shy. And quiet. And I don't express myself with the kind of confidant grace and eloquence that men like you and Twilight can. But what I feel for Snowflake is as true and deep a love as any man can feel. I can't tell you the moment I fell in love with her or even the reasons why, but I can tell you that when I'm with her, the world just fades away and she's all I see. No woman is more beautiful to my eyes, no voice is sweeter, and no smile brings me more pleasure to see than hers. She has captured me completely, and there never was a more willing captive. She holds my heart in the palm of her hand, and I would do anything for her, give her anything she asked of me. And if I have to get down on one knee before the entire kingdom and profess my feelings to get you to understand just how much I love her, then so be it!"
Zack grinned and make a bold underlining stroke with his quill and set it down. "Now we're getting somewhere! Start with where I underlined," he said, handing the page to the bewildered guard. "Well, get to it, Midnight. Your lady is waiting."
