Amaretto searchs for Narcissa holding a letter which looks like an invitation. He'd volunteered to deliver the invitation for Silver because he was worried she would be needed in the temple at some point before the message could be given.

Narcissa was at his desk, getting some of his daily work done. One can almost see an amount of contentedness in his eyes that the threats that were once facing his people have been averted. When Amaretto showed up he dropped his pen though and stood in respect.

"Ah, you are the friend of the Scion right? Welcome to the chambers, I wish everyone who visited could see them as they are now. What can I do for you?"

He was patient, refined, as his age and experiance has taught him to be. There is hardly a problem he couldn't face right now, between demons, rains, crop destruction, the faltering of the high priest of the forces, and that blasted trial he felt that enough was accomplished that karma would start working in his favor soon.

"Yes, I am the Scion's friend..." Amaretto replies and nods in response to the welcome. "I have a letter from her that I promised to deliver to you."

He hands over the letter than adds, "I thought it would be more convient for the Scion for me to bring the letter than for her to look for you herself."

Naricissa patted the man on the back and moved to take the letter from the man's hand. With a smile and a bow of the head in thanks he opened the letter and glanced over it quickly, learning that the letter was an invitation.

"Well, better not keep the Scion of all people waiting. Would you like to come with me sir?"

He walked to the door, thinking that the answer is yes without waiting for it. It was an honor to be able to see her, albeit he had to hide it when he actually was there. She still was a human, and proved that she needs guidance from time to time. She needs to have someone that she can trust and he hoped to be that person.

"Aye," Amaretto replies with a nod. "She probably will still be in the temple where I last saw her."

He'll come along, but out of respect he lets Narcissa lead. The winged ex-treasure hunter smiles slightly from amusement at that it seems to have been forgotten by so many that he is a Wind and an outsider not an Earth. Then again, that just seems to be the way of the people here.

Narcissa gives him a smile and begins his silent stroll up the path to the temple. This walk way seems to get harder on his legs at every turn. He does realize he is getting older, but he still has his use, he can't let this mountain fall apart. When he arrived at the door he gave a light knock.

"Scion, this is Narcissa, I am entering now."

The temple was always open door, but he thought it polite that he announce himself first. When he saw the scion he stood and smiled, waiting to hear what she wished to speak with him about. Right now, he felt he could deal with any problem Naruta could throw at him.

"Hello!" Silver says cheerfully before giving Narcissa a wrapped package. The package feels slightly heavy and appears to be something in a frame. "This is for you; I invited you because I wouldn't have to worry about dropping or breaking it along the way if you came here. Go on, open it!"

Amaretto chuckles lightly at Silver's eagerness to see what Narcissa thinks of the gift.

The package is a hand-made certificate of appreciation in frame. Though the certificate looks like it was painted by a ten year old, the frame is made of a very pretty and made of some kind of glossy stone. It's likely that both the stone part of the frame and the certificate were made by the Scion herself and she'd done her best when creating both.

Narcissa opens it, and looks at it with a smile, turning it to see it in different lights it is obvious the aged man is pleased. He tucks it under his arm and gives the Scion a warm, respectful bow.

"You are too kind Scion. I don't know what I did to deserve this but it will be proudly displayed in my humble home."

He stands patiently with a smile, wondering if there is anything in particular that Silver wishes to say to him. They may be equals in the eyes of the earth mother but that is no reason not to show proper respect.

Silver smiles, glad that Narcissa seems to like the gift. "I'm glad you like it. While you're here, I'd like to congradute you on how well you handled the crisis," she replies.

[adris]

Narcissa was almost taken by surprise, letting out some nervous laughter and scratching his chin lightly. He has tried to be a humble man for as long as he could remember.

"You really flatter me, I only did what needed to be done for a man in my position Scion. I must thank you for holding the fort so well during the storms. A religious crisis during a time like that would threaten to tear Humontis down."

It must have been a blessing from the earth mother herself that the Scion remained with her wits about her with the world religious leaders being struck down. Even at Humontis it took out the head priest of the force temple, giving them the blessing of sparing the Scion though.

Silver looks a bit embarressed before saying, "I did the best I could... Both you and Amaretto helped a lot with keeping me calm, even if just because I could see that at least one other person had their wits with them and some idea of how to go forward."

Amaretto chuckles lightly then comments to Narcissa, "Miss Scion seems to see you as an example of how someone with authority should handle a crisis. I hope you don't mind joining the list of people she sees as role models or guides."

Narcissa just looks from one to another and dons a fatherly smile. He enjoyed being able to guide the young into thier new age, it is why he has kept his position for as long as he has. Despite the hardships it is more then rewarding.

"I have been on that list for many I am told sir."

One would have to explain to him what for though, he just does what he enjoys. It seems that the person that has the most difficult time seeing greatness, is the one who is creating it.

"Consider it a compliment," Amaretto adds with a slight laugh, and stretches out his wings.

As much as he enjoys the company of the Scion and that he finds Humontis a pleasant place to stay, the wanderer is getting restless. He'd not stayed in a single place for this long since he was very young.

"Is there anything you need?" asks Silver.

[adris]

Narcissa honestly took a moment to think about her question. Then simply put his arms to the side as if he was content with things right now.

"No, nothing in particular. Life goes on as Lord River is away... we just have to make the best of it."

He stands in silent revelrie. He dosn't mind waiting for her to speak but he would prefer being dismissed rather then just turning and leaving such an important person.

"That's true. Hopefully the current normalacy will continue for a while." Wondering if she'd given the impression she had more to say, Silver adds, "You can go now if you want..."
