Thelon blushed, but smiled. "Slow but steady," he remarked. "She's a wonderful woman, brilliant in mind, which is what appeals to me most, truth be told. I don't think her daughter hates me either."

Tavin chuckles. "You'd know if she did," he tells Thelon. "Gemma isn't the sort to keep her feelings to herself. So, how much of the family have you meet? Just Gemma and Tres?"

"That's all I've gotten to know," Thelon clarified. "I think I've at least gotten a chance to get a look at all of you, or near about."

Tavin chuckles. "So you've seen Artica and Zappary then?" he asks, curious to see if Zap's reaction to Thelon was as bad as his reaction to Tavin. His eyes shining with mischief, Tavin adds, "Or should I just warn you to start wearing a warm jacket and carrying a lightning rod?"

Thelon winces at that. "It's touching that your family is so caring for one another. But it makes it damn difficult to insinuate oneself into Tres's good graces and still keep everyone happy. Still." He sighed and smiled. "The end result, if successful, will be worth it. Tres is lovely, and, very importantly, Libre likes her as well."

Tavin laughs. "Artica isn't really that bad," he informs Thelon. "My advice is to win her and Tavia over, then meet Zap. He's more likely to give you a chance if the rest of the family likes you. At least you haven't run off for months with the 'baby' of the family." Tavin grins sheepishly at that, but there's laughter in the expression too. Then he looks thoughtful. "If you'd really like to start meeting the rest of the family, Tavia always makes enough dinner to feed a small army. You and your little one would be welcome, and it would give you time to say hello the King and Queen."

"I believe I'll take you up on that offer," Thelon remarked warmly. "When may I come with you?"

Tavin looks thoughtful. "Well, if you're not busy, you could come over tonight if you like," he offers with a shrug. "Talen'sul's celebrating the little Princess' birth so it's busy, but your son might enjoy the activity. There's plenty for the children to do while we adults sit around and talk."

"I'll do that then," Thelon remarked, rising. "Young Libre isn't quite old enough to be teleporting around yet, so shall we go collect our young ones and be off?"

Tavin smiles and nods. "Yes, that sounds good to me," he replies. "Besides, give Aideen too long and she's bound to find some mischief to get into. Perfectly meaninglessly, but the results are the same still." With that, Tavin teleports outside, where Aideen is showing off her flying skills to Libre. "Aideen Eden Star, you land right now and stop trying to scare me to death," Tavin calls.

"Aww," replies Aideen, but she lands.

"Can I fly?" Libre asked his father, lifting his arms. Thelon smiled and picked him up. He contemplated his answer, and decided now wasn't the best time to indulge Libre in the idea of 'hovering' that truly powerful psychokineticists could achieve.

"I'm afraid not," Thelon told his son, ruffling his hair. "But when you're older, you can teleport, and that's faster than flying."

"Aw," Libre pouted. "Okay..."

Tavin chuckles, amused at the little boy, before turning to Aideen. "Time to go home, angel," he tells her. "Thelon and Libre are coming to dinner so I hope you remembered to tidy your room."

"Um, yes?" replies Aideen, crossing her fingers behind her back. Tavin laughs, gives Thelon the mental image of where to teleport and teleports home with his daughter.

Thelon just smiled and teleported after.
