Core frowns and sizes the two Ice types up, trying to calculate their odds. Though he doesn't like the idea of fighting that older man, they ARE fire types and have an incredible advantage. "Let's approach them. Maybe they'll go back with us peacefully and then we'll have a handy pair of prisoners for whatever use we need."

Ashra smiles and nods, tightening her grip on her spear as she begins to stride towards the two Ice types. Privately, she's hoping this will come to a fight. The long rest in Zephyr has made her restless.
Almost unnoticeably, the amount of confidence he can maintain the illusion of begins to decrease. He takes a deep breath to steady his nerves and fights the urge to end this encounter in any way possible.

Kirk scanned the two warily and was tense and on guard as he gripped his own sword. He knew, by rumor and memory, that these two are Fire type based off their attitude, their stance, their dress and weapons. Internally, he's cursing the Forces for making Khelek's nightmare come true if these two Fire types mean what he thinks they mean...
"We'd like you to come with us," Core states. It's more or less said as an order, rather than a request.
Aivea bites his lip and glances over at Kirk for a few seconds. Its clear the younger Ice trusts his companion's judgment more than his own. When he turns back toward the Fires, his eyes narrow as Aivea watches them closely.
"Is there a choice in the matter?"
If nothing else, a few more seconds to decide on a plan could be bought so long as he keeps talking.

"Oh there's always a choice," replies Ashra with a smirk. "You can come with us willingly and not get hurt, or we can make you come with us and you will wish you'd taken the easier option." To farther make her point, Ashra lets her empty hand brush across the fire symbol on her right leg. "What's it going to be?"

"Neither of you are going anywhere," Core growls. "You're coming with us, and that's final. Choose if you wish to go with, or without a fight."
Thinking quickly, Kirk decides to go on an impulse, saying nothing and merely lunging at Ashra in a sudden thrust of his sword. In his younger years, he would have shouted something inspiring, such as "for Jokull!" or "Khelek's Glory!". Older and wiser, he just wants to put his enemy down so that he can live to triumph later.

Kirk, being no stranger to fighting in situations where he was at the disadvantage, immediately goes on high-guard stance once he's temporarily blinded. Moving quickly away from the wall of fire, he gets his sword swung back around just in time for a half-luck parry.
Aivea has no such experience and merely dodges away from the flames before his sight clears enough to aim. The younger Ice turns quickly toward Ashra when he hears the chant begin. However, he'd acted too late and the chant had ended before he could do anything to distract the Fire warrior.
