The war room was nearly empty now. Locke found himself breathing a little easier now that so many dignitaries were gone. He stretched carefully, rubbed his head for a moment, then turned his attention to Lya. "How are you holding up?"

Lya had her eyes closed as she fairly slumped in her chair. "I feel like I'm on my last reserves, honestly," she said sadly, caring little that Tempest and Taima would still be able to overhear her. "So much fighting and problems. This isn't what I was meant to do - our people are peaceful and, under normal circumstances, would just have kept a neutral ground unless pleaded to for help against an obviously evil foe. I think I can safely say that those Clear types ARE evil." Just then, Thelon and Avani teleported into the room. Lya nearly jumped out of her skin, but managed to muster up a weak smile as Thelon bowed low and deep to her. "Lady Lya," he said in his smooth voice. "I present Milady Avani."
Avani took a simple look at Lya and bowed low from what she saw, she seemed to associate an air of nobility in the woman at first glance that she didn't even feel in Thelon.
"Lady Lya, I thought I was ready for our meeting but I hardly feel worthy being in your presence at the moment. Such strength in the midst of such adversity is more then I know I could accomplish. The followers of the Earth mother are here to lend our aid."
She tried to stay low but couldn't help herself to rise to look over the leader of the wind types a second time. Something powerful just seemed to slap at her when she first arrived.

Lya smiled weakly and motioned for Avani to stop bowing, "Please, Milady, you are my equal and nothing less. Talen'sul warmly welcomes you and your troops and we are more than grateful that you've come during this troubling ordeal. Thelon, as you might already know, the Leaders have convened to discuss a strategy." "How did that go?" Thelon inquired curiously. "I didn't ask for my fellows to drain their resources and keep me informed." Lya shut her eyes, troubled. "We found a traitor in our midsts," she said sadly. "Two leaders of Maelstrom have arisen in Shadow's place - Tempest, whom you see sitting over there, and Darkstorm. Darkstorm had apparently tossed Shadow to the Clears in order to buy immunity for Maelstrom from this war. Damien and the other Minds are out going to kill him as we speak." The look on Thelon's face could only be called rage, but that word didn't seem give justice to the sheer anger in his eyes as he clenched both fist and jaw irately.
Anger overtook Avani when she heard this, she clutched her hand, not paying attention that she curled the one with her symbol on it and violently stamped the floor, causing a small fissure to erupt under where the foot struck.
"Damn it! Things were turning in our favor I thought. Every time we get a little good news something happens to snuff it out. I am at a loss of what to do anymore. What could they possibly be thinking!?!"
She thought in her mind, calm down Avani, this isn't like you... and now you have to fix this hole you made in the floor., she hurridly touched two of her symbols and sealed the fissure.
While giggling she said, "You... might want to re-tile there..."
Ryu appear pretty much by Thelon's side, and seemingly out of breath. He gave a smile and a small nod to Thelon. "Master Thelon, it's been awhile. Things aren't looking good I'm afraid. How are we doing here?"
((sorry it's short, but I still don't know what's going on))

Thelon gave a startled jump, then relaxed. You're too nervous, calm down. Shaking his head he sighed, and said, "Good news and bad. The good is we brought the rest of our men and Avani's army to add to the already large group we have." Taima suddenly looked up, having gotten news from her comrades. "Darkstorm called his men on the group. They were outnumbered but Damien's men helped to chase them off in a surprise attack." "Damnit!" Lya swore, so frustrated she wanted to scream. "Here we are with the Clears getting cozy in Ronduin, and we've got a small scale war happening our own midsts!"

Suddenly, all the Mind types that had been on the 'warpath' teleport back, looking a bit worn and hurt for their battle. Thelon looked quite startled at their appearance and hurried to them, gently reaching out to see the extent of their injuries. Enya pushed his hand aside and addressed the room as a whole. "Darkstorm has taken all of his men loyal to him and fled back to Maelstrom," she reports. "I don't know what this means but..." She frowns and eyes Tempest carefully. "What are you going to do about it? You've got a lot of confused Storm types out there."
Tempest frowns in thought. "I need to tell them that Darkstorm betrayed us and fled like a coward when confronted. I believe I can keep the remaining storms here under my thumb."
At this point a messenger comes in from Kimball's camp. "I apoligize for interupting, but lady Kimball has gathered most of her soldiers with her and plans on chasing down Darkstorm before he can fully get away."

"Good woman," Lya murmured, grateful that at least there was some cooperation from the storms. "Tempest, I think you should go present yourself as the primary Leader to those Storms that are remaining."
Tempest nods and stands up. "I believe the plans we have may no longer be so good. If Darkstorm managed to alert the clears to it, and losing so many storms...." And with that, he leaves to go address the remaining storms.

Locke gave the tiles in the floor a long look, then studied Avani carefully, a slow smile spreading over his face. "Lady Lya, I have an idea," he said quickly.
Lya looked over at him, pushing away strands of hair that had come loose from her fretting. "What idea is that, Locke?"
Locke nodded to Avani. "She's the Earth Leader, I take it?" he inquired. "And we have so many Minds here. We could teleport the Earths to Ronduin's shores, and have them create small, erratic earthquakes to cause distractions while another group slips in to learn of the Clears' plans. We would have to be very careful, of course, and we cannot risk any warriors falling under a Clear's influence." He paused. "Therefore, I volunteer. A wandering Mind with no real grasp of strategy will be less dangerous to them."
Lya perked up as she ran the scenario through her head. It would be risky, but if done properly, would possibly provide a better strategy than the one they had before with the Storms. At least this way, they could distract and damage. "That's a great idea. Avani, what do you think?"
Avani took no time for thought knowing what could be done, but remembered herself how the city was placed upon the river.
"Of course we could do such a thing. I have a worry though... How strong does the city sit on the water, and how long must we create these waves. Too little stability or too much time and we could create a fissure... which would create a tsunami... which would sink the city. I don't want.... no... I REFUSE to have another Fara, sorry for my being blunt there."
A tear appeared in her eye remembering how that town was leveled, the people fleeing for life and limb. She wiped it off and tried to appear as strong as a leader should.
Ryu sigh and shook his head. Things were getting out of hand. He looked at Thelon, "There are two issues I'd like to discuss with you master Thelon. We need to get Cascata and the other fallen leaders out of the clears grasp. And the second is more of a crazy idea, but we should try to find a way to make the clears non-clear, or lose their power, much like an elemental who lost their sign."
