Damien looks up from polishing his sword as a very irritated male Fire-type warrior approaches him. "Yes? What is it?"
"It's that Fire/Storm type, Honoured Leader sir," replies the warrior. "He listens to no one and is consantly flirting with the women around here. It's a serious, unwanted distraction that's getting the men fired up, if you'll excuse the pun." Damien scowls.
"I should have known he wouldn't last half an hour without causing problems. Very well, I'll take care of it." Standing, Damien walks off to find Alexian Black.

Alexi was indeed flirting with a cute servant he had encountered at the large tent that was serving as a mess hall, having tended to Lars before deciding to have a bite. The pretty young thing had a sweet voice and spoke quietly, blushing adorably from his adroit compliments and his charming smile.

The Fire/Storm was certain he would have a willing (always willing; if she was unwilling, he would have backed off) companion in his bedroll tonight.

The servant suddenly looked pale, staring at a point over Alexi's shoulder. He checked behind him with a frown, noticing the approach of Damien. "Better look busy, darlin'," he advised the servant. "We can talk later."

She nodded and scurried off, and Alexi finished his meal and beer quickly.

Damien is his usual scowlling self as he strides into the mess tent. "Black! You've been here less then a day and already I'm getting complaints about you," he growls. "May I remind you that we are an army here? This is not a place for you to run your mouth off and flirt with everything female and breathing!"

"C'mon, man, flirting raises the morale of men and women alike." Alexi stretched casually. "Besides, we aren't fighting yet. When it comes time to get down and dirty, I'll be all business. Which reminds me, anyone in this camp a fletcher? I need more longbow arrows."

Damien frowns then calmly kicks Alexi's chair out from under him. "You'll show some respect for your betters and refer to me as Honoured Leader Damien," he growls. "I've had more then enough of your mouth, Black."

Alexi landed hard on his butt, rather surprised by Damien's reaction. "Forces, man!" he grouched, climbing upright and dusting off his trousers. "Just because you're jealous of my youth and vigor doesn't mean you can just stomp around like there's a stick up your ass and take it out on harmless furniture," he added, setting the chair upright and giving his hair a casual toss.

Damien growls, rage clouding his eyes and turning his face an odd shade of redish-purple. "Right, that does it. Get outside now and we'll see if you have as much skill in battle as you do getting women into your bed and running your damn mouth off." To help Alexi on his way out of the tent, Damien touches one of his signs and flicks a small fireball at Alexi's legs. "MOVE!"

"Hey!" Alexi leaped aside, cartwheeling out of the tent. "Watch it, old man!" he snapped. "Of course I can fight. I'm not a bounty hunter for nothing!" He clenched his left fist, thumb tucking against his palm to bring the Fire and Storm signs together. A mid-sized fireball, surrounded by crackling voltage, exploded into being, and Alexi cast the dangerous thing at Damien's right thigh.

Damien presses the mark on his right hand to his forehead, as though his headache has returned. A better look however reveals that he's actually brought it in contact with one of the two fire markings on his forehead. With a muttered comment, really too short to be considered a chant, a powerful wall of fire surrounds Damien, blocking Alexi's attack. "Is that your best, Black? I've seen infants in their mother's arms do better." With a casual gesture, Damien tosses a fireball, one that's three times the size of Alexi's, at Alexian. "Catch," mocks Damien.

Alexian just barely had time to recite the chant needed to pull off his next maneuver: Another fire-volt burst to light and he spun in swift circles, the power cracking around his body and deflecting most of the fireball, though his right bicep got a nasty burn that scorched through the sleeve and turned a strip of skin black.

Panting from the pain -oh Forces, he had never been burned so badly in his life!-, the bounty hunter closed his eyes and thrust his left fist at Damien, generating a small explosion of pure electric light, hoping to blind the older man. If it worked, he would be able to get in close and try a roundhouse kick.

If it didn't work.... well, he was screwed.

Damien blinks rapidly, trying to clear his vision, but that's not enough to stop him attacking. After having spent 37 of his 47 years of life training, this is hardly the first time he's fought blind. Listening to Alexian's panting and using the sound to tell him where the Fire/Storm is, Damien shifts his right hand slightly so now all three of his signs are in contact with each other. "Enough play," he smirks. "Time to put you in your place child." Still not using anywhere near his full strength, Damien chants and the metors in the sky seem to pale in compasion to the burning rain that starts to fall down around Alexi, although all of the tiny fireballs are reasonably easy to dodge. "Let's see if you dance better then you fight!" laughs Damien, his amusement echoed by the crowd of Fire types who've gathered to watch.

Alexi swore, spitting phrases and obscenities that would probably give one of the Creators a heart attack as he ducked, spun, leaped, flipped and danced around the majority of the fireballs, but his clothing was starting to look extra crispy and two more burns slashed across his left forearm, along with taking four and a half inches off the ponytail he was so proud of. Though strong and enduring, even Alexian's high pain tolerance had limits, and it was being reached pretty darn fast.

He had to end this somehow. If he could just get in close enough to grab Damien with his right hand and trigger the Storm Sign on the other, the shock would probably make the Fire Leader stop.

Probably.

It was worth a try.

Spinning again and deflecting some of the fireballs, Alexi came up close to Damien's left side, reaching.

Damien brings up his sheild of fire again, but it doesn't stay around him long. Instead the shield explodes in 360^o radis around the Fire Leader. The flames from the shield are hot enough to slightly melt the stones around them. "Run boy," taunts Damien. "Run."

Alexi screamed as the ring of fire blasted over him, turning all his clothing but for his boots from the ankle down into ashes and his skin into a painful lobster red, which wasn't helped any by the way the bounty hunter threw himself to the ground, flopping and rolling in the dirt until the flames were extinquished and he lay in a limp heap, panting and gasping, shuddering uncontrollably as adrenaline and endorphins drained away to leave him in a whole world of pain.

"J-Jerk," he croaked, unwilling to say he yielded, because it was blindingly obvious he couldn't fight any more.

"I thought we'd already discussed this," remarks Damien. "That's Honoured Leader Jerk to you, Black."
