Still weak and ill looking from his night of vomiting and the lingering effects of the poison in his system, Darkstorm staggers up to meet Tempest at the rocky area that's been hastily cleared of tents for their battle.

A few minutes later, Tempest also arrives to meet Darkstorm. Like Darkstom, Tempest is also feeling the effects of the food poisoning he has suffered the day before but is putting effort into hiding his current weakness despite his churning stomach.

"....So you showed.." Internally Tempest was cursing that Darkstorm was actually standing after the poison he sent, not knowing that someone elses poison was effecting Darkstorm and not his own.

"I'm surprised you actually showed up yourself," replies Darkstorm. "I would have thought the fat filling your head was incapiable of retaining a thought for more then a few seconds." Touching the palm of his right hand to the back of his neck, Darkstorm brings his marks together and the air is suddenly thick with sparks. "Shall we begin?"

Not trusting himself to be able to speak, Tempest instead brings his arm up to his chest to touch his storm marks together, filling the air with static electricity fills the air, causing the hair of nearby soldiers to stand on end.

Darkstorm makes the first agressive move after a long moment of waiting and fires a huge bolt of lightning at Tempest.

Tempest quickly creates thick electric shield to catch the lightning bolt. While the collision of the lightning bolt hitting the shield creates a blinding flash, Tempest unleashes two smaller bolts of electricity to curve around to try and hit Darkstorm from both sides.

Darkstorm gets hit by the lightning, but even as they strike him, he hurls a wickedly sharp knife at Tempest to try and slice his leg and reduce the other Storm's movement.

Tempest saw the knife fly through the air just when he had to struggle to hold in the contents of his stomach again. As a result the knife embedded itself into his leg and he bites back a cry of pain.

Tempest then slams his open palms together and unleashes a thunderclap directed more towards Darkstorm.

Darkstorm attempts to dodge the lightning, but his reflexes are slow thanks to the poison in his system and he still takes a hit to the shoulder that leaves his arm numb. "This battle is too even," he thinks, throwing a large ball of lightning at Tempest to buy himself a moment to think.

Right after Tempest launched the thunderclap at Darkstorm he bent over and pulled the knife out of his leg, and after channeling a bit of power into it, he threw it into the ground between Darkstorm and himself.

When Darkstorm threw the large ball of lightning at Tempest, the charged up knife acted as a type of lightning rod and pulled down on it enough so that Tempest didnt have to actually dodge it himself to avoid full damage. The explosion of it hitting the ground was still enough however to knock Tempest back onto the ground.

Darkstorm is also thrown back by the explosion, gasping for breath as the impact knocks the wind out of him. Staggering back to his feet, Darkstorm brings his marks together again and chants to make it rain lightning down on Tempest.

Tempest touches his signs together and chants at about the same time as Darkstorm does and makes it rain lightning down on Darkstorm as well.

Darkstorm throws up a shield to protect himself, but it's just a touch too slow. As three or four bolts of lightning strike him, he manages to channel some of it into a single massive lighting bolt and hurl it at Tempest before falling to his knees.
