Lya keeps a straight face, but there's fire in her eyes as she makes a motion with her hand and the invisible bonds release them both. The pure Wind grits his teeth and turns, striding right out of the room without comment.

Acqua scowls, her temper flaring. "Deal with it how?" she snaps. "A quick slap on the and a firm 'Bad storm. Bad.'? But then, why should you care? Water and wind elementals are only worth the amount of slave labor you can beat out of us." With that she turns and hurries after the wind elemental. Shadow scowls angrily.
"Was there anything else you wanted Lya?" he asks, forcing his tone to be reasonably calm.

"Yes, but she left already," Lya growls. "Perhaps now we can have a conversation like reasonable adults?"

[Northen Light36]

Shadow scowls but nods silently.

[Kender Bard]

"First of all, and most importantly, you must be aware of the Clears that swept through the land, leaving destruction in their wake. I am here to see if perhaps we cannot join in union against such a secondary occurence," Lya states.

[Northen Light36]

Amaro speaks up before Shadow can reply. "My lord, Lady Lya, forgive me for interrupting, but I was one of those who fought in the battle with the Clears, as did Acqua and two other friends of ours. Lord Shadow, I strongly urge you not to let prejudice interfere in your decision here. My three companions are a wind and two water elementals, but far from being a burden on me, they are most likely the reason I am still alive." Flash, seeming to gather courage from Amaro, steps forward.
"With all due respect, he's right my lord," Flash says quietly. "No one has a true advantage against the Clears alone, but Elementals working together can pull free. A true alliance with Lady Lya and her people can only strengthen us."

Lady Lya remains silent, watching Shadow carefully.

Shadow frowns in thought then looks at Lya.
"If I were to agree, what conditions would you set for this alliance?"

[Kender Bard]

"What do you want from us?" Lya inquires.

[Northen Light36]

Shadow eyes her, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Ahh, my lady, I do believe I asked you what you wanted first."

[Kender Bard]

Lya frowns, realizing he's right. "..To stop the slavery of my people."

[Northen Light36]

Shadow, Tuono and Flash wince as one. "I was afraid of that," sighes Shadow. "Lady Lya, I don't think you realise exactly how much you're asking of me..."

[Kender Bard]

"Our people cannot be allies if one is being used as a slave for the other," she remarks flatly.

[Northen Light36]

"You're asking me to just stop something that has been going on practically since the first Storm was born," Shadow mutters. "Many of my people will not agree to it..." He sighes. "I agree an allience between our people could be useful though... I will try, Lya... But I can make no promises..."

[Kender Bard]

"Then I can make no promises that my people will care for my decision either," Lya agrees. "But back to what I was asking before - what do you want from an alliance?"
