Acqua sighes and gives up, wandering over to Hum and Alethia. "Hum, wasn't it? At least hold still and let me take care of your injuries. Sis, why don't you go keep Talon company?" Acqua touchs her own water marking and uses the last of her healing water on Hum. Amaro glances over at the two girls. "Get some rest once you can't heal anymore girls," he tells them. "Acqua, are you all right?" "Just singed," Acqua assures him. "Alethia took care of the worst of my burns." "Good. Next time try using what little brains you have and get out of the way," growls Amaro. He looks at Hum and Talon. "And I could say the same to the pair of you as well."
Hum coughed a bit, as his breathing suddenly became a bit easier from Acqua's heal. He rubs the site of the wound, as if checking that it was really healed. He bowed and thanked Acqua and Alethia for their concern and help. He continued to try and keep the mood as light as possible, "Heh, if I keeping getting this kind of attention from such lovely ladies, I might have to get injured more often." He turned to Amaro, not wanting to leave his barking unanswered, "I have to say, that's the strangest 'thank you' I've ever heard. Maybe you're new to gratitude, but I'm sure with such a helpful group like this, you'll get the hang of it soon." Hum seemed almost determined not to let anything get him down.

(It was the water/wind elemental tending to Locke, not Alethia.)
Amaro growls under his breath as Acqua laughs and nods in agreement with Talon. "Hum, get to know Amaro better you'll realise that is Amaro's normal method of thanking people." She grins and adds, "Still, maybe with your help Talon, Alethia and I can teach him some manners?" "That's rich coming from you street brat," snaps Amaro. "What? Have you started thanking people after you steal from them?" Acqua's eyes blaze. "At least I have a sense of humor," she growls back. "Unlike some people I could mention." Instantly the pair are in a blazing verbal battle of insults, although anyone who knows Acqua and Amaro would know the fight is more a method of releasing tension then anything else.

(The water/wind's gender was never established, so calling it a her is fine.)
"Don't mind them," Alethia was quick to assure Lya as she moved to intervene. "This is a normal conversation for them." "A love-hate relationship," Lya murmurs as she settles down to rest. Talon cringes and gets up, Alethia there to support him. The two move off somewhere away from the rest of the group but still within sight and settle down, launching into a deep conversation. The Water/Wind shrugs and leaves Locke alone. "If you're sure," she says, hesitating. "But if you want me to help you, just ask." She moves over to Hum again, fussing over him. "As for you, I think dinner is still an option. I'll finish what you boys started."

Eventually, each snarling a final insult at the other, Amaro and Acqua storm off in separate directions. Acqua grabbing a small brush from her pack and, calling Faith with a soft whistle, settles down near Lya to groom her pet. Amaro on the other hand stalks over to the opposite side of the camp and starts removing his weapons to clean and polish them. Each of them appear quite content to pretend the other doesn't exist for awhile.
Laughing a bit at the antics of Acqua and Amaro, Hum says to Alethia, "Sounds like a plan. Need any help?" He seemed like the type who needed to be helpful, plus it would serve as a distraction for a while longer.
That would be what he would say had he chosen to speak. But he kept silent as the distant thunder rolled over the horizon at the other side of the mountain range.
What was a stranger like himself doing in a place like this at this particular hour? For one thing, he was no stranger here... the tribe knows him through his mentor, and he knows a good few of the people here. As for what he was doing here, there was nothing much else he could have done, so passing the time walking along the streets have been a very appealing choice for him. Of course, he prefers to stick close to the dark corners. He had been sticking into these corners since before he got raised into the ways of a warrior. He wanted to close his eyes to reflect back into his past when a flash of light shone from a distance.
The next second he found himself running - and quickly - towards the scene, which was not too far for a run since each pathway has been planned to allow for easy access to any part of the site... all thanks to planwork offered by the best cartographers available in Maelstrom.
He was near, and ducked behind some cover. His deep blue hair and his dark leather overalls blended very well with the shadows and he spied from a reasonable distance away from what he suspected to be a Mind Elemental.
What is a Mind Elemental doing in a place like this? That was the question that had asked himself several times before spotting a few others, possibly other elementals. He also spotted two of his tribesmen tied up. What could this mean? To him, it means one thing for cetain - Rebellion. And since Lya is with them only confirms his suspicions. He gave one more short glance, his deep blue eyes growing a darker shade of storm gray as he readies himself to fight, his hand sweeping softly over his hair.

At the mention of dinner, Locke remembered the vegetable stew should have simmered to perfection by now, and unsteadily got to his feet, wobbling towards the pot. "Dinner's ready," he said a bit fuzzily, and then added, "Maybe I do need some help."

Alethia looks up from her conversation with Talon, and gestures towards Locke. "Go ahead and help him, Hum." She flashes him a warm smile. Talon tilts his head, uncertainty flickering over his features and then was gone again. Ignoring the odd feeling he just got, he snuggles closer to Alethia. "Who will take first guard?" Lya inquires. "And no, Acqua, Talon, Hum, and Locke. You four are not an option. I'm reluctant to not even include Amaro in that list."

"What? yelps Acqua. "Why not?!" "Because you're injuried," Amaro replies, not looking at her. "Even if Lya was prepared to let you help guard, I'm not. So don't waste your breath arguing." He then looks at Lya. "However I assure you Lady, I'm fine." "You'd say you were fine if you'd just lost an arm," mutters Acqua.

Acqua fumes quietly, but she does know Lady Lya and Amaro are right. Although Alethia healed the worst of her injuries, the more minor burns are still painful and the left side of her body is mildly numb from the electric shock. She's in no condition to fight and she knows it.
From shadow to shadow he had hopped, blending in quickly with the darkness to avoid detection. He had done this before for years, and he is quite familiar with his surroundings. He looked up and wished that some storm clouds could gather right above to provide some imtimidating lightning. Now well within spotting distance, he looked at the captive guards once more and ducks low, trying to manipulate some electricity to electrically charge one of the captive's armor to rouse him. If he was ever planning to free them, he would have to do this quickly.
