(OOC: This is a Dreaming thread. While Robin and Letha can be found, they will not be able to be woken.)
Letha huddled next to her twin, shivering a little in her bedroll in the back ally she and Robin had chosen to sleep in. At least it wasn't as bad as what her mother had lived through as a child, she reminded herself and tried to relax.
The rest of the family was beginning to realise what was happening, if the furiously worded message from Bas that had been passed on by one of their contacts was anything to go by. But the older twins didn't know, couldn't know, what the younger set of Sanderson twins had suspected for months. They weren't bonded, but Robin and Letha had known something wasn't right when they'd found Pixie's body crumpled as if from a blow in the Sanctuary. Mind cats didn't just die like that. Maybe it was because, unlike the older Sanderson twins, Robin and Letha had been raised inside the guild, trained to recognise all it's dark intrigues, but they'd been certain that something wasn't right in their mother's death. And when they'd had a chance to talk, to calm and force themselves to view their mother's body... Well, they'd been trained by two of the guild's best assassins. They knew when wounds were fatal, and when they weren't.
And then Letha had found the little knot on the back of Acqua's head, in just the spot to knock someone out. At that point, it hadn't taken much to decide it was very likely that someone had murdered their mother in cold blood. The only question was, had they been after the Lady of Thieves or Lady Melissian-Ronoh, heir of the House? They were putting their money on the target having been the Lady of Thieves and that narrowed the suspect pool. And three of those suspects were their parents' Eyes and Ears, one of whom was a mind. There'd been no choice except to flee the guild, particularly after their father and brother had been forced to run as well. Lillian going to Naurorod had been a blessing and, while they hadn't sorted out this mess while she was there, she was safe with the Queen. They could focus on finding their mother's murderer without feeling guilty over leaving Lillian. And, when they found the bastard... Letha had never killed before, but both her parents had been younger then she and Robin when they took their first lives... Lethia had no doubt that she could kill a killer without hesitation now.
Tomorrow, they'd find a chance to confront Roni or Virgo, as they'd been training for.
Letha clung to that familiar hatred and rage as she drifted into a deep sleep next to her twin... A moment later she wore a happy little smile, while besides her, Robin began to frown and whimper softly.
