Woah, wait, I can bargain with a demon?
Yes. There is an especially powerful demon that goes by the name of Dzobal. This demon not only has the power to grant wishes, like a Force or an angel, but has an uncanny knack of being anywhere that someone is willing to deal with him.
Bargaining with the demon is similar to bargaining with a Force, but not exactly the same. For beginners, although the wishes do cost brownie points, they tend to be cheaper if you deal with Dzobal. There is also a catch; the demon will first require a little bit of the wisher's life force. This is, in reality, a purely cosmetic price. It means your character will die a little sooner than they normally would but when your character dies is still ultimately up to you, the player, so this has no real bearing on your character beyond what you want it to. The second price varies; the demon will ask for something in exchange. Or perhaps he will simply grant the wish in a manner not entirely desirable. He may want something very small, if your wish is small, or something quite large if the wish is large. Sometimes he will ask for the wisher's soul, which simply means that when the wisher dies, unless they have somehow repented in a manner pleasing to the Forces, they will be cast into the Abyss upon death rather than allowed to enter the heavens. Sometimes the demon wants something more immediate--such as the taking of another human life by the wisher's hand or a similar service. He may even take something material. It can be almost anything.
Finally, sometimes the Forces will not want to grant a wish for some reason (perhaps it is too selfish or evil in nature) in which case your only option will be to bargain with the demon.
How much does it cost to make a bargain with Dzobal?
Like with Force wishes, it varies. I will set the price OOCly after hearing what the wish is.
How do I make a demon bargain?
OOCly, you contact me and I approve or disapprove of it. Once brownie point payment is made, we will play out the bargain. Your character must make a wish audibly or make a statement to the effect of, "I'd sell my soul for...." Dzobal will appear in some fashion and will state his terms which you can accept or reject. If you reject it, I will refund your points but you won't get your wish and the demon will be unlikely to return to that character. He does not enjoy being toyed around with.
