Reminder of the Past

[Kender Bard]

Kiri had gone to the window and peered out. She glanced at Neil with worry at his sudden arrival. "What happene- Forces, Neil, you're hurt!" She sometimes forgot how quickly he could heal.

Neil held up a hand, "I'm fine, we need to leave though, the guards are upset." He motioned her toward the stairs to get their things, it would be easy enough to get them all out of there so long as the guards weren't too quick.

Kiri bit her lip and nodded, running up the stairs and gathering up their things. Calette seemed entertained, at least. She was watching everything with wide eyes of interest and curiosity.

"Are we going to pay the innkeeper?" Kiri asked as she shoveled clothing into her pack haphazardly and snatched up a small rattle from the floor.

Neil shrugged, he didn't care if they did or not, but he knew Kiri probably did. "Leave something here if you want to, someone'll find it." He moved to help her get things together.

Kiri did just that, grabbing some of their money and leaving it on the nightstand. Once their things had been gathered, she slung a heavy pack over her shoulder and picked up their daughter again, moving closer to Neil so he could teleport them. "We're not in danger... are we?" she asked him worriedly. There was a bit of shouting elsewhere in the inn.
