"Yes, there's aloe in the area. There's a patch not far from my camp." Shannon said with a droning grunt. "So unless you're heading south, which I somehow doubt, you should find it on your way back home."

While Shannon had been away, it seemed that her camp had received visitors. The hyena brothers Jengo and Adofo to be exact.
The pair had been scouting together close to the area the Fire refugees had been camping. Hoping to come across something interesting, or perhaps take advantage of an unwary Fire roaming farther afield than they should be. They had been surprised to come across the camp, so solitary, yet so close to the Fires.
Not one to miss an opportunity Adofo had began to rummage through what he could find, while Jengo kept an eye out for whoever had made the camp, should they return.

Jengo had snapped in Shannon's direction when she whooped but made no move toward her once he saw her. He had thought he'd smelled something familiar when they'd come across the camp, and it seemed he had been right, the girl was another hyena affinity, or at least something close.
Adofo ceased his rummaging, but seemed to have similar thoughts as his brother. He dropped what he was looking through, took a step toward Jengo and eyed Allura unkindly, but made no move other than that.
Jengo bared his teeth in something smile-like. This was a female, yes, but she was still encroaching on their territory. Perhaps they could salvage something out of this if they played things right. "We were patrolling our territory, lots of intruders lately." He looked to Allura, then back to Shannon. "Are you with the Fires?"

"I don't care to associate with any side as long as it doesn't affect me. And unless you care to associate with me and my spear," she took her spear from Allura, "You'd do well to put anything you've found down, leave, and forget you ever saw this camp. I won't kill you, oh no. I'm from Seere. But that doesn't negate the possibility of me beating you so far down that a stiff breeze could do it."
The pair weren't particularly put off by the threats, they put up with similar and worse from Kanzi on a regular basis after all. They did back off to the edge of the camp though, not really wanting to engage the other hyena unless she started it. Their curiosity had been piqued, and if nothing else, Kanzi would want to know there was another in the area Seerling or no.
"I wouldn't mind associating with you, leave the spear though." Jengo grins again. "You do well not to side with those others, better to call the shots yourself, am I right? Our small group does just that, no ties to clans, just us hyenas. When you tire of this one," He inclined his head toward Allura, and Adofo snorts at the non-Beast. "You may just be welcome to join us."

Allura glanced back and forth between the two parties as the banter ensued. At this point, all she wanted to do was go back to her clan where it was safe. Still; she moved a little closer to Shannon nervously, holding her tongue so she didn't make the situation worse. Although when the other Beasts give her disparaging looks she does narrow her eyes slightly, her pride pricked.

Shannon threw her spear toward her tent, then hefted the boar over her shoulders again. "Bastards. Sounds like I'll have to pack up sooner than I thought. They may not have any authority over me, but if they can claim this as their territory then I do have reason to worry." Shannon turned to Allura. "Well, I've been doing a lot for you. More than I should by any rights. Those feral idiots may well have torn you apart if I hadn't been around, and I can't guarantee they won't if we separate. I can save you a lot of trouble if you want, but you'll have to be prepared to do some work."
Allura let out her breath once the other Beasts left. "I can certainly pull my weight, and I agree that your assistance has been great. But I'd rather not be a burden. If you'd rather I go, I simply need pointing out where to go. I can always return with my clanmates for protection next time."

"I would," Shannon said, piling logs for a fire, "But I don't trust THOSE BUFFOONS enough to think they aren't waiting for one of us to be alone. I know I can handle them, it's you I'm worried about. And if they're claiming territory against me, that means they're not alone. If we stay together, I can't guarantee we won't run into them again, or that they won't be hostile if we do. What I can say is that it isn't as likely, so you're better off with me. As for me, I'd rather not stay around in Beleg longer than I have to anyways, but I'd especially rather avoid being here for longer than it takes to eat and pack up if I know someone's taken an interest. Any excuse to pack up and leave is good for me knowing that much. Hungry?"

"Ah, no," Allura told her. "Thank you though. I agree we should stick together, since you seem warm to the idea. But if you need to pack up, where will you go?" She wanted to help, not just stand there and talk, so helped with the logs, surprised at how heavy they were.

Shannon sat down to begin butchering the boar. "My ultimate goal is Ilyamen, however, I was going to see about trade with some of the clans up in Naurorod before I got there anyways. Apparently, I'll be going a little earlier than I'd like, but I suppose it gives me more time than usual. Perhaps," she commented, innocence etched on her face, "I'll even have time to get some barter done at Lhach Linnod."
