"Look at how cute she is," Kiri remarked to Neil, though she didn't expect any sort of response from him. She was standing, holding Calette in her hands. The baby was clad in a very expensive looking dress for infants that one of the angels had given her on a whim. It was black and white and very lacy. "I really want to go show her off. Why don't we go meet some of the other Chosen?"

Kiri made a happy sound and shifted her hold on the baby, cradling her. Nudging the door open with her foot, she strode out into the spring-like weather with the sun streaming down warmly and invitingly. There was a fair gathering of people near the central fountain--it seemed to have turned into the 'town square' of Sanctuary for both humans and angels alike. Grinning, Kiri made her way over.

Acqua was sitting on the edge of the fountain, head tilted back and her eyes closed as she enjoyed the heat of the sunshine on her aching body. Her face and hair were damp from her efforts to wash away the sweat of sparring with her brothers, but the cold water hadn't done much to cool her flushed face or prevent the darkening bruise on her cheek. Acqua wasn't fussed by it, aside from irritation that she'd missteped and stopped Amaro's training blade with her face rather then her training dagger, and certainly wasn't going to bother with healing water for a bruise, so it was promising to turn an impressive mix of purple and black.
Alerted to the new arrivals by Pixie, she opened her eyes again and looked over Neil and Kiri in open curiousity.

"What a cute kitty!" Kiri cooed, stepping closer to look at Pixie. "Hello pretty kitty." Calette was looking down at the fountain, so Kiri sat at the edge and flicked a few dropletts at the newborn, making her squeal. "Look, Calette. That's a cat."

"May I pet her?" Kiri asked curiously as she shifted Calette on her lap. The baby seemed to tilt forward slightly as Kiri leaned over a bit, but she steadied her with a flash of a hand, biting her lip nervously.

"Go ahead," Acqua replied. "She particularly likes being scratched behind her left ear." She reached out to do just that briefly. "I'm Acqua by the way. Are you new here? I thought I'd at least seen everyone."

Kiri flashed Neil a smile that equal parts relief and embarassment. She scooped up the baby and handed her over to him. Hands free, she petted the cat. "We're not new so much as I haven't left our home much here," she explained. "My name is Kiri and this is Neil. I've been holed up after giving birth." She gestured to the infant. "This is our daughter, Calette."

Acqua smiled, with a hint of sympathy in the expression. "Congratulations, she's beautiful. And my sympathy for being away from home during her birth. I know I wouldn't have wanted to be in a strange place while my youngest three were born."
And while they were on the subject of children, Acqua glanced over the gathering and smiled slightly as she spotted the little twins playing with Lilly near the Soahcian tree. "Those are my youngest over there," she added, nodding towards them. "The little red-head and the twins."
