A fine mist seeps under the door to Virgo's room, gathering itself before snaking up the bed and drifting. Yes, this would do nicely. The demon has crept it's way through the city looking for a likely place to hide and feed, sticking to the night and shadows. Being mostly incorporeal helped. A tendril of mist reaches toward Virgo's face as she sleeps, letting her breath in a part of it. Then the mist spreads and settles into the shadows of her room, the small part of it inside the human would be enough to start corrupting her.

Virgo tossed and turned a bit, her sleep restless until she woke early in the morning. Feeling miserable, she went to the basin in her room, splashed some water on her face, and slipped into her father's room. Sage was still asleep. Virgo sat on the bed and leaned over to hug him; automatically, Sage's arms encircled her and stroked her head as he woke a bit. "Vi?" he murmured groggily.

Aside from feeling, and looking, like she's just had a very bad night's sleep, Virgo has a creeping sensation of something just being...off. The demon remains hiding in her room as it works through the small part of it'self inside her, working at tightening it's hold enough to really start having some fun.

"Nightmares," she murmured. Sage made a soothing shushing sound and pat her head.
"It's okay, sweetheart," he mumbled sleepily, already starting to drowse again. Virgo kissed his cheek and slipped away, going to change into proper clothes. That done, she headed for the Thieves' guild.

Roni was at the guild, looking over the job board as he bit into an apple. Catching a glimpse of Vi out of the corner of his eye, he turned and greeted her with a smile as he headed over to her. "You're up early," he remarked, then eyed her with a hint of concern. "Or would 'up late' be more accurate? You look exhusted."

"I'm-" Virgo started, her head suddenly whipping to the side. She frowned and moved closer to Roni, putting her arms around him and hugging him closely. "I'm up early. I had nightmares last night. I think they're making me a little edgy."

(Damn, this is twice this post hasn't gone through. Third time lucky, I hope.)
Roni eyed her in concern. "Well, if you're on edge, maybe the guild isn't the best place to relax?" he suggested, knowing that as more people, and particularly the guild children, woke up, the guild would only become louder and more chaotic. It was already quite noisy and only a handful of people were up and about. "I could grab us some breakfast from the kitchen and we could go back to my house to eat, if you want? Jenny chose to spend the night here, with some friends, so it'd be just the two of us. You could even try getting some more sleep."

Virgo didn't have to think twice about the offer. It sounded perfect. "All right," she agreed with a tired smile. "Maybe you can chase the nightmares away." She lightly, teasingly smacked him on the shoulder. "With your mean scowl."

"Oh of course," Roni replied, imediately scowling playfully at her. "No nightmare will dare disturb you while I'm on watch." He laughed, kissed her cheek and headed to the kitchen to beg some breakast from the cook.

Once they had breakfast in hand, Virgo wasted no time in heading out with Roni. As they walked, she kept glancing sharply around at random intervals. "I feel like I'm being looked at," she finally muttered to Roni.

Roni glanced around casually, then shook his head slightly. "No one's paying us any attention at all, Vi," he replied, while thinking, If she doesn't stop acting so nervous, someone might START paying attention. She's jumpier then one of the guild kids on their first job. "Try to relax," he added softly. "We haven't got far to go."

Virgo nodded, drawing in a breath. "The nightmares must have really shaken me." Ignoring the burning sensation between her shoulderblades, she walked along, resisting the temptation to glance about her for the staring eyes she felt were there.
